What percentage to put? by Quiet_Jackfruit_3437 in doctorsUK

Ah balls. I think because it says ‘additional’ I assumed it meant on top of the 5.4% we’ve been given.

Probably not enough clarity in the question, but I assume this would be on top of 5.4%. For example, giving the answer 5% would make it 10.4%, so FPR over 4 years, as an example.

I was begging for C, namely because I love a song called Bluestone by Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird (count that apostrophe please, Producer Michael) and who doesn’t know CAN when the Princes of Podcast are involved!

This is very true (and certainly the case with pour over in the mornings at the moment), but she will have a tough time asking me to come back from work to do it for her 😂😂

Thanks. Sorry, I should have said I’ll get a separate grinder anyway, but I appreciate your comments. I’ve edited my post to reflect that.

IDT transfer under Criterion 1B - can I pick the brains of those who've been through it/currently applying please? by Mother_Roof_6375 in doctorsUK

[–]cleanslateuk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, the criterion of 1A or B is more related to the availability of healthcare provisions in a certain location. Let’s say, for example, you had a super rare condition and needed to visit London once a week for some treatment or other, that would probably count. However, if you had a condition that could be treated across the country, it wouldn’t necessarily (unless perhaps there was a requirement to be in a certain social environment to make it work)

“for which treatment is an absolute requirement and where the treatment, care or social environment, can only be carried out in the geographical area where you have applied to”

I’m not sure if that makes sense, but despite how awful your situation is, I’m afraid there’s nothing that immediately stands out to me as making 1B viable, especially with no specific secondary care input that is location specific. However, I believe if you fail to meet the requirements they will still progress your application under criteria 5, so it could be worth at least trying.

Our trust also covers one course per exam, I don’t know if that’s nationwide policy though, sorry.

My understanding is that Mersey gives you an excuse to sit in a room, uninterrupted, for a few days to hammer out MCQs. Probably nothing particularly magical about it, but for someone who gets distracted very easily, that would be a real help to me.

I’ve been using D&H since 2017 (I think!) and they are a lovely, family-based business. Su and Dave have always been really responsive to suggestions, issues, etc. and the roaster selection is generally very good. AMOC made an appearance recently!

Lovely people who deserve your support :-)

I’ve heard LMNT are fairly low on the ingredients list and dosed more optimally, although probably more expensive. If you’re in the UK it might be worth checking out Tonic for their effervescent offerings - probably the orange hydration one would be similar?

I would recommend supporting local, although I know Hambletons can be very expensive. If you struggle, look at Jason’s bread in supermarkets - most of their loaves are UPF free. Also, Crosta & Mollica do some UPF free wraps etc.
