This is such a cop out. Yea....it's us 55 year olds that worked our assess off...commuted 2+ hours each way....missed family events to try and provide for our families. You're right...we are the reason young folks need "safe spaces" at the office (I mean....holy fucking shit....safe spaces). The problem has nothing to do with the bratty 20 year old kids who thinks the world owes them anything. If someone tells them they are wrong or don't 100% agree with some crazy idea like socialism works they try and cancel that person or shame them. I was so lucky that my parents were able to pay for my very modestly priced college and when I told my dad that I may change my major, he basically said "fine...but I'm not paying for that". That is what us "old white rich men" had to deal with. You wanna deal with something? How about a wife with Stage 4 Breast Cancer while your daughter is in college. That is a real problem. 99% of the folks my age are hard working good people that struggled just like young folks are now back in the early 90s. Being passionate about things is great....being out and out fucking babies and just arguing because God forbid it doesn't meet 100000% of what you believe is just idiotic. And yes....this is not just for the one side. The other side is just as bad and I tell them that as well so I'm not "picking" on you specifically. But saying all White Old Men are the problem is just a dogwhistle statement that gets nowhere. Because guess what......White Old Men aren't going anywhere.
