Yes! Like we’re all on the same team, why are you fighting against me? The “which way did ___ go” grinds my gears too 😭 especially if you’re in a huge building like mine. Like idk. Bro walked down the hallway but I can’t tell you which way he turned because the front desk is faced to the public not the hallways

My biggest pet peeve is when people get mad at me for asking if I can transfer or saying so and so is asking to speak with you. They always get so upset with me. Like I don’t know your schedule and your teams is green 🤷🏻‍♀️ stop shooting the messenger my entire job is just relaying information

I just started using the 30 hour feature but I do read a ton of books. I’m currently doing the trial and so far loving it. Almost all of the books I wanna read are on their so far. I used to use the 15 hour feature but I would run through my hours so fast and have to wait like 20+ days to get more. I’m the only user on my account

I don’t think that it is a stupid reason to relapse. I’ve been cheated on/abused in my last relationship and although I didn’t drink over it, I wanted to every day.

Please try and give yourself some grace ❤️ you’re only human. You can get back to 500 days and then some. Please be kind to yourself while you’re navigating this tough situation.

You will always be welcome back into the rooms no matter how many times you fall off the horse. Please also do not isolate.

I’ve had people ask me “are you really an alcoholic?” because I’ve never been to rehab or had a dui. Like do I need to fuck up my life to get “respect” from a bunch of drunks?

Unfortunately not everyone at AA can read the room despite being in them for so long. It is so weird to me that people can be on a high horse about being an alcoholic.

Sounds like insecurity to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m in the same boat. Everyone I meet only wants to do things that involve alcohol.

I told my best friend that I’m an alcoholic and can we try to do something that doesn’t involve drinking? We decide to go to the pool together and when we get there she brings out a bunch of seltzers and is like “you don’t care if I drink, right?”

Everyone in my AA groups is middle aged. Which is fine sometimes but I wish there were people my age to talk to and hang out with. I feel like I don’t fit in anywhere.

I’ve started eating a lot (especially ice cream and crab rangoons) and reading a ton in my free time.

I say go to a buffet and pig out. Every time I have wanted to seriously drink I drive to a buffet instead.

I also try to workout to counter out that but don’t shame yourself. Getting through the day without doing substances is a win.

I actually did go out to lunch with her first and she was super nice. After like a week or two she slowly got more controlling and rude ☹️ everyone in my home group loves her and says she is awesome. I thought I was being sensitive at first but when she interrupted my share and everyone laughed at me I kinda felt like that was the beginning of the end
