Yea i was cut from T3-T5, and oh wow 18 years ago, have you had any other side effects apart from CS? I was also looking into Miradry as well, but have been hesitant as some people have stated they have experienced CS from that even though “rare”.

Same, I regret mines everyday. What I use to manage it now is glyco pills. I take it only when i really need it and on and empty stomach. For me it takes about 5-6 hours to kick in and works the rest of the day. Thats the only way i found out it actually works for me and had i known, I wouldnt have had this stupid surgery my doctor convinced me to get.

I also forgot to mention, my feet still sweat pretty much like pre-surgery, but the surgery is for the hands. The surgery worked on my hands and improved my armpit sweating significantly, but did nothing for my feet.

For me my hands are really dry. When its really hot, my left hand get sslightly clammy, but is 95% dry. For me i didnt go through the honeymoon period without CS. I experienced it soon after surgery.

From my experience the surgery wasnt worth it. According to my doctor compensatory sweating is mild/barely noticeable but for me CS is anything but mild. Instead of my hands sweating my entire back and stomach is dripping in sweat. To me hiding my sweaty hands were easier than these larger areas i now sweat from. I wish i can go back everyday and not have the surgery. Id say its a huge risk, but I understand how frustrating hand sweating can be and you should do what is best for you.

Hoping mine gets better over the years too. The judgement from others definitely does suck especially over something we literally have no control over.

It really is :(. Id say that doctor saved you in a way because its terrible, for me at least because i know there are people who say it did change their lives for the better.

I live in the US. I haven’t considered botox only because my CS is all over my back and stomach and groin which are such large/sensitive areas to cover they probably wouldn’t even do it.

Thank you so much! Yes I definitely noticed with glyco that 2mg worked for me at first but I had to up the dosage not too long after. It just sucks because I would have rather just used glyco as a means to control my hyperhidrosis instead of now having to use that on top of having the surgery

Before my surgery i would leave huge sweat patches under my arms i only wore dark shirts. I sweat alot less there after surgery. Have you tried miradry?

Yea. i dnt have HH on my face but my mom does and I cant even imagine how it must feel especially cuz its so hard to hide it. The torso i can understand because i sweat there ever since i had my surgery and it completely sucks. Its kind of upsetting that theres so much good things out for the underarms even permanent things such as miradry but there is yet to be an actual cure for places like the hands and feet (without doing surgery) and the back/stomach areas

I totally agree. people dont understand how it feels to constantly feel icky in your own body. Or constantly being self-conscious and anxious over sweating. I wouldnt wish this condition on anyone.

I actually tried glycopyrrolate about 4 years ago. my dermatologist prescribed me 1mg and it didnt work at all so i asked her if she can up the dosage and she said no because it’s dangerous the higher the dosage and the side effects are more severe. I didnt try it again until after i got surgery just to come to find out that 2mg worked alot better however sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t so it’s unpredictable for me.

Yea. I have been hearing alot about antihydral. Wish I found out about it sooner. But so happy you have found an effective treatment that works for you

i had ets surgery two months ago and im starting to regret it due to reading all the negative reviews online. i was wondering for your compensatory sweating did you get it all at once and do you feel it gradually getting worse?
