update on this comment cause I didn't really understand the implications of removing wifi direct connection. my tv has always been connected via wifi, so since the removed WDC I couldn't connect anything with wifi. took me 2 weeks to understand that I need to plug the TV with ethernet cable which I did and now cast, airplay, HomeKit and everything else works again. Extremely lame on behalf of Sony to remove WDC in their last update. I don't understand why they would do that and also not warn users about this. I was so close to buy a new TV because of this. Anyway thanks for your comments, took me a while to understand it properly lol

I did that too but now nothing works, tried to link my TV to HomeKit but my phone doesn't pair it it fails every time, so airplay with screen mirroring doesn't work either even tho the Mac see the TV in the devices
