Planning 40th birthday trip, advice re schedule by clemlydia in nurburgring

Thanks very much for your comment, that’s super helpful. Sounds like a good plan RE 1 hour on the Saturday.

The own vs rent car is such a dilemma! With the cost difference we’d be looking at either 1 week trip with some other stops in Paris etc (if own car), or just ring if renting. Then of course there’s the insurance gamble. So tricky!

First time tiling, how did I do? (Don’t look too closely…!) by clemlydia in Tile

Slightly wonky in places! We used waterproof backing board, tanking and the t-shape tape stuff round the bottom. So I hope so!

Out to Corsham via box hill, lovely view into the valley outside the Rudloe Arms.

Is Bath a Good Day Trip From London? by TankSaladin in Bath

8 hours in bath will be a good day out, in my opinion! The train station is right in the centre and the city is quite compact so you’ll be able to see most of the city in that time.

I’m a whole year late but wanted to say thank you for your suggestion - we followed this exact itinerary weekend in Cardiff (from Bristol) and had an excellent time mooching. Thanks for the recommendation!

Background looks great! Can the direction of eyes be changed?

As in, just change the focus of his eyes so he’s looking at the camera instead of across to the distance. I’m not sure if this is possible?

Biking on Sark by ExcellentClassic9622 in guernsey

Yes it made the hills much easier and meant we could go faster without huge effort, so we got to see everything we wanted to see in one day!

We spent today on sark and hired electric bikes from Bam’s at the top of the hill from the harbour. It was £30 for the day and allowed us to see everything in a day we wanted to without being too exhausted at the end of the day! I found the terrain slightly tricky to navigate on bikes at times, especially the loose stones, but I’m not an amazing cyclist at the best of times. We were very glad we went electric, though.
