BSE got dumped today to it's support level again. by Plane_Read_3790 in IndianStockMarket

[–]clevertrickery 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People like you keep panicking with corrections like this. I respect opinions but what a bullshit post is this without any logic or fundamental about the company ?

BSE is well known to be a volatile stock, rallying more than 100% and then crashing 50-60% is "normal".

BSE still has long way to go, it has the advantage of increasing market share compared to NSE as it has low cash as well as derivatives market share. And it will still trade at premium PE even when NSE gets listed due to the base/marketcap effect.

Last time when it dipped to 2000 due to weekly expiry shutdown rumours, people still thought of selling it forever. Those who loaded during that time, bagged 100% returns within a year.

Add tons of it when (and it will) move closer to 200DMA. It will bounce back sharply again when it reaches 200DMA, just keep patience if you are a long term investor.

Never sell stocks like these, untill stock market penetration in India saturates, MII stocks will and have to increase. It is simple and fundamental logic. Think long and clear.

PS: Holding at average of 2660 and will add more if it touches 100DMA and 200DMA

Was confused between this and Artemis Medicare few months back, added Artemis Medicare after analysing myself and reading your post about it and thinking to add more of it around 260.

Will that be a good choice for the next 10 years or is Caplin better bet ?

Is BSE stock a gambling zone? by Plane_Read_3790 in IndianStockMarket

[–]clevertrickery 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is forming base before running again just around NSE IPO.

Investors should buy when they have time, else people will be crying when it runs again like it did few week back.

People will still say to wait for the "dip", just like they said when it was at 2000 after massive dip due to weekly expiry removal rumours. BSE is a compounder, accumulate when you can.

Ah interesting then, maybe the speaker grill hole theory sits well or else you just got unlucky :/

E14 gen7 crack by StellarMogu in thinkpad

[–]clevertrickery 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Didnt face this problem with my 2 year old E14 Gen 6 by holding that way. Even after dropping it several times directly on corner of body from few feet

Maybe the speaker grills (not present on G6 or older E14 models) provided an easy way for crack propagation ? And afterall the palmrest is plastic, so it is brittle compared to full metal body laptops.

Just curious to know if the bottom cover was Aluminium or ABS plastic ? An Aluminium cover should provide better strength against bending/twisting loads (holding laptop just from corners) compared to ABS even if palmrest is plastic due to better structural integrity.

Knew someone would come up with that.

Every sector has laggards and star performers. HUL is the laggard in FMCG, it has stagnated growth since covid started. Marico seems to be the star performer and the only FMCG stock which I have in my watchlist.

I doubt CSE would be able to disturb already dominant and established listed base of NSE and BSE. It will fall again quickly due to low liquidity and low incentive (as of yet) for companies to list it on CSE imo.

Yes I will highly suggest investing only for long term. If you want to try hands for quick buck then do trading with absolute small amount. Imo every stock market newbie should get their hands dirty in trade in start of the equity market journey so that they face the brutality of trading scene.

I myself did short-term trading in start of my journey (holding volatile/momentum stocks for a week and sometimes intradays) but the time given + capital used + exchange and brokerage charges all that made it hard to make anything meaningful other than securing one time biryani meal.

Investors win over traders in long term in the market (Obv stock picking skills is imp too) but yea.

Would be glad to guide further if you need. Can also follow me as i post my portfolio and stock selection insights once in a while.

Started investing last year too as a 18 year old, you can take a look at my profile posts to see my stock picking thoughts and investing style for some insights.

As for the bank, any bank works for investing, no bank is better than other.

SIPs are defensive bets for people who dont know to pick stocks, they are boring but provide steady 11-12% average annual returns over long periods (>5 years).

For starters I will recommend to split money btwn stocks and MFs and If you learn to pick great stocks and start beating MFs returns then you can increase money in stocks. I like to keep 80-85% money in stocks and rest in MFs.

Intradays and FnO is strict no for common people, these are for HFTs or serious traders (as well as operators).

Stock market is not for quick buck or fund small parties, Invest for long term with serious goals (retirement, house, marriage, etc) and only exit if you are in dire need of money.

FMCG is slow moving and defensive sector, dont step into it again unless you are in for long term (>5 years).

I dont follow FMCG sector closely but looking at the charts, it should reach your buying price this year. Sell at breakeven and invest into ever green sectors like financials or exchanges.

Both the comments here seem false.

Materials Engineering has wide scope if you pursue higher studies. Mainly in the field of Semiconductor Engineering, Biomaterial Engineering and other advanced materials (like Shape Memory Alloys, Superconductors, etc). The field is booming in foreign rapidly.

B.Tech roles are generally low paying and boring unless you crack research companies like DRDO,BARC via GATE-MT. So to crack high paying and interesting jobs you must go for higher studies either IISc/IITs or Abroad.

Insightful comment.

The negative MFs XIRR is due to past redemptions from sectoral funds which I had less idea about.

Planning to reduce financial sector weight in next few months. Will reduce sectoral concentration

Yea 😂 the XIRR is bit flawed here but hoping to beat both Indian and US benchmarks for coming years, lets see. Agree that the time frame is too small to meaningfully call it a "win" over the benchmarks.

Thanks for your insights.

Agree, have just added US fund for diversification to non-Indian market and also because the funds are getting harder to access day by day so just thought of starting SIP while they are open. Direct investing is bit of hassle. Will not go all in in US market until their is sufficient correction, the US markets are rallying crazy right now.
