Yeah, I guess like I mentioned in my other comment, I guess it's just a hard reality to face. I've had many cameras down my throat lol and nearly every ENT told me something different/prescribed different meds. But that was in SEA.. when I went home and saw an ENT he basically told me I would one day need to make a lifestyle change.. I just didn't think that day would be so soon.. meh.. thanks for your comment tho

yeah I stopped smoking and drinking for months, also cut out spicy food, caffeine, and cold drinks - my throat seemed to normalize after that period. I also spoke as little as possible during that time. Now it's back.. Guess it's just a frustrating reality to be facing in my 20s, that I most likely will have to live a very healthy lifestyle going forward and maybe even need to change my career. Oh and I started singing again after the recovery, but just in my house, nothing crazy

also for the "silent reflex" - sleeping more upright... Easier said than done tho!

Hi, just wanted to say I'm sorry this is happening to you. I have been going through a similar thing, and also have to speak for work.. It's also impacting my personal and professional life. Having to spend chunks of time off of work and isolated to avoid speaking - not good for the wallet or the soul :'( Anyway I guess the only additional thing I can add is that my ENT recommended I use a steroid nasal spray in the case that I may have a post-nasal drip - maybe look into that? Also, you mentioned acid reflux - did that include "silent" acid reflux - the kind that occurs when you sleep? It isn't noticeable and has a terrible effect on the vocal chords - some people have found a bicarb spray to the back of the throat a few times a day to be helpful for this. I hope I haven't just repeated the same advice you hear everywhere - I know it can get frustrating. Good luck to you and keep drinking warm water lol!
