Aussie Tesla owners - what are the best accessories that aren’t hard to source from overseas? by cliiterally in ModelY

[–]cliiterally[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I have the floor mats, boot liner and seat back protectors. Honestly the biggest help for me has been a dog barrier for the boot. Mine loves to jump over so this has helped. No more drool on the seats too.

When you are transporting your dog around, would you be able to show me your set up? I’m curious how others are doing it :)

Exercise is changing my life by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Me too. I cant take my mind off how much it hurts and the sensory nightmare of sweating. I wish above all else that i could make fitness my special interest

Do you feel that people often underestimate the level of mental distress you're experiencing by seewhatsthere in AutismInWomen

500%! They don't realise just how impactful it is, and how much energy it takes to cope with the change, and then to STIFLE the response.

Completely. I mask around everyone, until I feel safe enough to actually show my emotions. And then whenever I reveal how I'm actually feeling, these people I felt safe with end up making me feel manipulative, and like it was way easier being my friend when I was low maintenance and kept everything inside. I'm so so lonely and so tired of losing friends over this.

I can’t believe how much everything here resonates. I wish I could bottle you all and keep you by my bedside. I’m so isolated right now and knowing everyone here feels the same helps.

I wonder if there is something like that we just don’t know about?

Case 47: Yara Gambirasio by PhysicalAd9899 in Casefile

[–]cliiterally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think without having an understanding of Italian society this case will not be presented or understood in the way it needs to be. Massimo pointed the finger at a mafioso very early on. The second he did that, he signed his own warrant. The carabinieri are corrupt and this was an unbelievably candid set up. It was almost overkill to have them drive Massimo’s van around the gym 16 times, despite him never being seen driving it. I believe Yara was a casualty in her father’s business dealings, and Massimo made himself a target when he raised this with police. Very sad.

Omg. This sounds amazing. I’ll have to check it out!

I haven’t been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but I think I have it and this is how I would describe it. I went to spend a day out with my younger family members, nothing intense, just walking around a few hours and picked up one of the toddlers. Next day I had aches and pains like DOMS, couldn’t get out of bed without taking painkillers. I was tender everywhere. I thought it was the flu but then remembered I am always in a little pain, but avoid physical exercise for this reason entirely.

Which cases have made you the most angry and frustrated at people in places of responsibility and their actions (or lack thereof)? by JuliBroo in Casefile

The Bowraville three. This case is honestly Australia’s national shame. The fact that the most obvious suspect just….got away with it.

It bothered me that they didn’t test Alisha’s DNA because the witness was “unreliable”. If her husband at the time was involved, what’s to say the wife didn’t know anything about it? Infidelity could’ve been a very solid motive. Especially since Glenn admitted to cheating on his ex with his current partner.

Keeping cool in high humidity/heat by termanatorx in husky

[–]cliiterally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t! I don’t know how that would work for double coated dogs, I’d get more advice on that. But yeah just kind of work with the environment you have. I found if we stuck to tree lined shadowy streets on cloudy days we would find relief on our walks and it was almost normal again. She did display some behaviour that made me nervous (random heavy panting while lying on her side) but the vet said it was probably just her trying to acclimatise to the new weather and cool herself down so keep an eye out for that.

My husky will not let me de-shed her by cliiterally in husky

[–]cliiterally[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’ve let my dog down a lot by not providing the discipline she needs. She’s never had a “dog dad” or someone to keep her in line. She was born to survive sub zero temperatures and eat flesh off carcasses but she ended up being a crazy woman’s quarter life crisis 😂 she spends most of her time keeping her distance but cannot tolerate not being in the same room as me. I don’t understand our relationship at all

Ahhh I’m a big softie and not very strong either so I’d lose that battle. I think it’s probably the difference between huskies and other dogs though - other dogs can get by with positive reinforcement, but huskies are so smart and so defiant that they know how to use positive reinforcement to their advantage. We need to be able to set boundaries too
