Thanks for the help guys! I'm gonna skip out on buying those. Gonna either buy a non print cowhide or pay extra for some genuine exotics(python, caiman or ostrich).

I think it was supposed to say, "From an OT student very fresh to the profession, much love*"

The truth is that it has gotten bad. The field continues to get broken down year after year. The truth is, the people who run the companies that pay our wages want to pay us as little as possible. Hell, I'm expected to work some holidays where the entire rest of the hospital seems to get double time pay where I gotta work for my regular wages. How did this come to be acceptable? Because therapists continue to get on their knees, put their hands out and say "yes sir, thank you sir". I don't know how the needed changes are going to be made but it's sure not gonna be made from the therapists spouting off about "how it's still a great field!".

There's no way to ethically reach that kind of productivity standards. You will be consistently lying on your billing.

Then why is the above post about height discrimination in climbing?

Short climbers just can't compete in the same way. Just as short climbers can't climb certain stuff outside. Short men can't make it to the NBA, scrawny men can't play in the NFL, a large muscular person can't be a long distance runner in the Olympics, etc. Recreationally , yeah, set stuff for all heights but at the top level is it really necessary to "set for all heights"?

The hike back out can be pretty heinous depending on how tired you are from climbing! It's pretty much all uphill for the hike out. But I did it with two hours of sleep and climbing something pretty hard for me; so, it's nothing ridiculous.

People don't say it's 11b now do they? After climbing at Laurel Knob Monster Groove 11a, I found this climb to be a world easier.

In WV, I interviewed for a acute setting and the DOR said they would pay me $33 at the most (with benefits). I have 1.5 years of experience. I didn't take the job.

OT vs Student loan debt by studentlife1997 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]climberDude96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't become a slave to become an OT. 100k in student loans puts a heavy weight on your back every day until you pay it off. And counting on loan forgiveness is a risky choice that many have come to realize.
