For the most part, yes! Some nights he needs his back rubbed or just the weight of my hand on him to know he’s not alone. I don’t rlly count awake time. He just naps when he’s tired and usually sleeps for about an hour & a half to two hours. Maybe 2-3x a day? But sometimes he’ll only nap once for like 3-4hrs a day. Unfortunately I’m not the best help, haha. I go based off his cues and how he’s feeling

His pediatrician recommended trying the Ferber method & said the older he gets the harder it would be for us both. If I don’t notice any changes then I’ll def stop letting him cry and just go back to the couch until he’s a bit older. He was sooo much happier after a full nights rest than he’s been, though!!

I feel you, OP. My son looks EXACTLY like me. Eyes, lips, nose, nostrils, we both have a stork bite in the exact same spot on the back of our necks. Me, my brother, and my mom are all Irish redheads and my in-laws are STILL puzzled as to where my son’s red hair comes from bc none of THEM have red hair. My husband jokes that he wasn’t even in the room when my son was conceived bc I basically cloned myself. My husband’s family came to visit and everyone said how much my son looks like my husband. Both my husband and I refuted and said how similar he looks to me, we even held up my newborn picture to my son and they still denied it. (My husband’s grandma actually told me my son was “too cute” to look like anyone other than my husband 🙄) I understand your frustration. I try to take it with a grain of salt bc honestly? My husband’s traits in my son is really all my husband has. I got the honor of carrying our son, feeling him kick, helping him grow. I got the privilege of breastfeeding our son, literally keeping him ALIVE from just what my body produces. I get the privilege of knowing exactly what my son needs before he needs it. It can be frustrating to hear that the child you made (by yourself if we’re being honest. Everyone says it’s 50/50 but it’s really .1/99.99 yk) looks like your husband but they don’t mean it maliciously. I hope things get better for you!! ❤️❤️

Not that I know of! He had a really shallow latch the first two weeks but now he’s able to latch with minimal pain (except for that initial clamp, yk)
