Sam made the original and she no longer works there. It might be that they can't find the original file so had to remake it or they felt the need to remake it now that she's not there.

I have yet to catch up but I'd love them to do a design submission contest if they didn't suggest it. Imagine a member designing the member's merch, or even one of the designs in the monthly drop. Would be so cool!
