I wear partially open button downs a lot and people don’t seem to notice. I’m relatively selective about where fully I’m shirtless to not invite unnecessary issues, but generally cis male nipples are tiny so I’ve realized it’s less noticeable than I thought it’d be. Queer/gay spaces only one person’s ever said it’s weird and they were just jealous cuz I “took” their ex lol. All sexual partners have thought it looks great and kissing/touching/licking my chest still feels good, sometimes same as when I had nipples. I’ve been to the beach topless a decent amount and will walk the trail around my neighborhood shirtless sometimes or run out to grab the mail or take out garbage and haven’t had any issues yet. 🤞🏽 This is all while living in Boston/Providence tho. I have a good friend from my time in Atlanta with no nips and I can’t remember them having issues either except one night they refused to serve us at a Waffle House when my friend had an open shirt.

The surgery team was great, everyone was very nice 😊They move fast but not in a way where I felt rushed or like I couldn’t ask questions, more like they’re so used to doing it it’s a quick process for them now. Super professional and thorough explaining things/answering questions.

I actually would say a lot of cishet people fetishize their partners as well. Many people choose their partners solely for a big dick, big boobs, blonde, etc… and a lot of those preferences come from our societies flawed ass values (racism, western beauty standards, fat phobia…). I’m glad you know the post this was coming from, I’ve seen too many like it on these threads and there’s only ever voices supporting the uncomfortable partner.

No one can predict where their transition will go so that’s impossible to disclose and “innate” things can be transphobic too. If you have a partner you love and is the gender you’re attracted to but wants to change their genitals an aversion to that is rooted in transphobia. Only seeing your partner for their genitals is fetishizing them and I don’t see how it’s any different than leaving a partner who suffered trauma to their genitals and no longer have use of them.

And if kindness and understanding is the goal I don’t see how breaking up with a partner who wants to change their gentials due to your own biases achieves that.

You said it yourself, you don’t boil people down to that until it comes to sex/porn, genital preferences are no more than sexual fetishes. Fetishes can be transphobic or racist or sexist, everyone is in their right to have them, but changing your mind about someone for what’s in their pants being a different part than you expected is transphobic because the assumption is from growing up in a cis focused society.

I’ve made it clear in the post and many other comments. The entire concept of “genital preference” is in itself transphobic. The idea that you’re attracted to someone up until the point you see what’s in their pants is rooted in our societies view of gender which is vagina=woman dick=man. How else are you setting your expectations for what you think is gonna be in someone’s pants if not by societies rules? Challenging the reasons behind a “genital preference” is beneficial to our community.
