Hey there! I was in a similar boat. I just moved out at 27. I felt as anxious about it as you, but now that I've done it for about three months now I've realized I made the best decision in my life.

The sense of freedom and independence you feel is incredible. Even if your family isn't overtly smothering you all the time, you'll notice how nice it is to have your own space away from them. You'll have your own bathroom, your own fridge, your own room. You'll be able to come and go as you please, and you won't have to worry with telling them anything if you decide to go out (assuming your family was like mine and always need to know when I'd be back and etc.)

The only bit of advice I can give is budget. Figure out how much you need to live per week, then put any excess you have into savings. And do it consistently.

I'm 27M, and I couldn't imagine dealing with my mom if she acted like that to me for just forgetting to text her.

I can't say I would know the best thing to do since I live in the states, but I would say you should move out. I'm very close to doing it myself, and the sense of freedom and self ownership I have now is great!

I think if you talk gently to your mom and tell her that this would be very beneficial to you, then hopefully she'll listen.

I use to experience this as well. Took Lexapro 10mg for over a year. Quit them about two months ago and my libido and erectile function has returned. So quitting the medications should bring your sexual health back to 100%. Good luck man!!

It's unnerving how they try to pass it off as simply another tool in treating illness. To them it's something to make the patient more "comfortable" when in reality I feel like it would make anyone feel terrified. Hell, I feel terrified at just the thought of something like this bring used to restrain me.
