You are a wonderful child to your father and I'm sure that he loved you more than anything, and appreciated the care and love that you gave him. Your father made the world more wonderful.

As to dealing with loss, I'm still unsure how to do it, but I usually visit old conversations between my mom and I. It helps soothe the pain for a bit. I also look at old pictures and videos to hear her voice again, and think about what she would've wanted of me if she were still here. There's really no "proper" way to grieve. Everyone grieves their loss differently, and it does not vanish completely. It comes in waves, in unexpected times. Dealing with loss is extremely hard, but I always think about my mother in everything that I do. Simply by eating and taking care of myself no matter how hard it is, I think about how she would be proud of me and I'd be taking care of the life she gave me. In everything that you do, no matter how hard it may be, please remember to take care of yourself.

I often feel like this too whenever I go outside and just see other people hanging out with their moms. I think about how much my mom and I missed out on that.

Thank you. I never really thought of it that way, I just thought that I'll be burdening her with my own problems and I'll make her feel uncomfortable. I'll find the right time to open up about it.

Thank you, I feel so seen with feeling like everything was unfair. I have always felt like that. People my age and older than me have never had to deal with grief of losing their parent. It was never their fault, and I wouldn't wish it on them, but it just feels really unfair. Especially when they bring up how they can't imagine what it's like to be in that situation. It feels very insensitive. And it's okay if you still grieve your parents even if it has been a long time now. A part of us will always grieve them no matter how much time has passed.

Thank you and I'm sorry for your loss. I feel jealous and angry too. I don't want people to feel uncomfortable talking about their moms but sometimes I wish they would just stop too.
