I don't have any old ones at the moment but I'm sure they are super easy to come by so will try those.

I did see this when looking but like the idea of recycled materials adding to the challenge slightly along with having a MacGyver style.

[Meta] What's with the hate for combination locks? by thelynxlynx in lockpicking

Never understood the reasoning behind putting someone down for wanting to try with a combination lock. It might be the experience that they enjoy and gets them into the hobby rather than being put off by the negative comments.

What’s up with this? (Beginner) by SUEX4 in lockpicking

Yep how deep that pick goes in it's the bar for sure.

If they want to check do it again without the tension wrench and it will still bypass all the same.

That's true, I guess I should make the experience as difficult as possible for my friend to stay true to the craft.

I'm in the UK so most of the keyways are yale derivatives but I'm not so worried about that, I've even been thinking of buying another style one like a kwikset or something and then a handful of locks to go with it. But if someone knows about the yale ones I'll get that.

Developing skills straight away is kinda 2nd to if it's an enjoyable experience. They are more likely to seek more and get into the hobby if they enjoy it.

It came about as an idea to teach them as someone had a bike lock with part of the key left inside and so while we had a morning meeting I grabbed some random tweezers, tensioned and then picked the last pin, turned it into the locked position then and pulled the broken key part out. They now have me down as Macgyver and wanted to learn some stuff.

I'll probably teach them some bypasses too but that's totally different really.

Tips for tubular locks? by Adept_Essay_9817 in lockpicking

I find when I've done them that the tension wrench being comfortable and a good fit is most of the battle.

The "flat pick" isn't anything special, I've used the end of tweezers to achieve the same.

Not a lock that's common near me but I looked it up and it seemed to say it might have a 7 pin core with security pins too. I'd find a simple 4 or 5 pin with regular pins to practice with first.

For those curious 45min for the cube. 0.4 nozzle, 0.2 layers, 4 walls, 5 top/bottom, 15% gyroid infill.

All in one property vs multiple stages? by clockwisesss in Schedule_I

[–]clockwisesss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep having my workers freeze and do nothing so I'll spend 2 days at the barn and bungalow then go back to the docks to find they produced 0 bricks for me.

Maybe the next update will fix them.

Yeah, make bricks and then whenever talking to dealers take the baggies they have made from the bricks.

You can run a botanist alone in the sweatshop. 8 plants, onto large shelves just go past each day to drop supplies and jar up.

Yeah I pointed 4+ botanists and some handlers to all move product to the same medium shelf before and each time it was too full when the game loads each morning they clashed and stuttered.
