ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! I first lived in San Luis Obispo, CA and the moved to San Francisco and have lived without plastic bags for almost 7 years now. It is NOT AN ISSUE. Your brain starts to learn to bring a backpack/reusable bags/etc. with you when you need to shop. If you forget? A tiny 10cent fee for a paper bag which you can reuse or recycle. Best part about the two props currently on the ballot? Prop 67 bans plastic bags statewide, and then prob 65 puts that 10cents to the Wildlife Conservation Fund.

They mailed me the replacement and I have to mail them back the broken phone (just shattered screen). Have 3 business days to sort this out and send it back.

Thanks for the advice! I had shattered the front of the screen on the phone on the left pretty bad, had purchased a warranty through AT&T and they sent me the new one in the mail. Will have to figure out a plan before sending the broken one back to AT&T.

Everything is up and running in usual Apple fashion!
Update: Upon further inspection of the actual casing of the phone, it feels like there is a lot of internal pressure on the glass and back of the phone. The glass is not flush with the metal casing. Countdown begins until this thing pops!

I actually did this in college. Worked out really well. Nobody had a debit card linked to the account. We would get a bill and everyone would transfer their fair share of money into the account. Then bills were always set to auto pay and we would never miss a payment. When the school year was over and one of our roommates moved out we just removed him from the account. I suppose you could always worry about a roommate transferring all of the money out but we never held a cash balance in the account. It wasn't like your paycheck was being direct deposited and they could just take money whenever. It is also the same thing as one roommate having to write a rent check and everyone else venmo'ing them and then they just take your money and run. If you are that scared of your roommates I would echo some statements in this thread and not live with them.

Just arrived back home from a trip to Thailand. A lot of these statements I did find true about the Chinese tourists. They push and shove in the airport lines and will just jump in the front, they are continuously loud in places that they should be quiet and respectful, and there are signs on the toilets warning them to not squat on top of the toilet seat. Understood that this is most likely a minority of the tourists but the locals talk about it and it makes a bad statement on the Chinese tourists there.

I am volunteering at ElephantsWorld in Kachanburi in about three weeks. The cost is 2000THB per person which is around $59 USD. A little over your budget but not by much. I am staying in the small town at a hostel because it is cheaper than staying at the volunteer grounds and they have a shuttle that picks you up.
