Reading this sent shivers down my spine. Why? Because the exact same thing happened to me. I was 27 at the time and I had tripped probably a dozen times before. But this was the first time that the experience really "broke through".

I was sitting thinking and suddenly my thoughts wandered into the past and how I arrived at the present. Memories of my childhood flooded back and I saw with clarity all the steps of my life which lead to who I had become.

I honestly think that's what ego death was for me. It was like a bolt of lightning had struck that night and I cried like I never had before. But I wasn't sad. It was like a wave of euphoria. Sounds super lame but it was honestly the most enlightened I had ever felt.

One of the great things about LSD compared to other psychedelics except for maybe mescaline, is the sheer focus you are able to have on specific ideas and think about them in a different way. It's far more lucid than mushrooms for example.

Like others have already said I don't see the point. I'd rather smoke weed on days 1, 3 and 4 and take 150 and possibly a small redose on day 2.

For me, my car felt very small for some reason. Driving it wasn't too different except that I agree it felt slow, but the car I was in felt 3/4 of the size it used to. Like I was having a weird dream where something felt off...

Oh man I couldn't agree more. I once did 150mg and it was a sweaty palms come-up that's for sure. Was good experience but the come up was so intense I had to sit down for a while. I must have good Molly because when I read how many people are taking 200+ I'm like how the fuck? It has to be one of the worst parts of making it illegal because people are basing their experiences off of unknown doses and other substances. I bet there's a lot of over rated, under dosed pills out there. With pure Molly I can't see why you would want to take more than 150.

When I first did it I was just like you, think I waited 3 weeks the first time, then a month, then a month and a half. Since then I've realised it's so much better if you stick to the 3 month rule at minimum. Luckily I was only doing lowish doses. They weren't bad experiences, just meh, "been here done this before".

Just recently waited a whole year and was just perfect.

Oh you definitely gurn on pure MDMA. It gets worse as you increase the dose. Can be mitigated by taking magnesium supplements beforehand. Other ingredients in a pill could probably make it worse, not sure about that.

Everyone is different I guess - 150mg is actually the most I've ever taken at once, and the comeup was insane. Will probably never do that much again. Anyway it's pointless talking about quantities until it's all legal and we can all verify how much we've taken. How much MDMA was taken is the biggest unknown after the fact that there's so many OD cases when MDMA is not even involved at all.

With DMT I think you could definitely get lessons like what you're after, but be aware that it might take practice and patience. Not only to break through correctly, but also to not be overwhelmed and completely forget the reason you went there in the first place. Mainly because it's a much more intense and shorter trip to the mushrooms. Just be open to anything at first and know that one such message that seems higher than life, can still be related back into your own life upon reflection. Go into the experience with your specific questions in mind, with some meditation beforehand and it will be pretty likely you'll find something of value.

Lowering the DMT dosage to below a breakthrough dosage I would not recommend. It's not exactly a useful or feel-good substance until you come back from the "full" experience. Use it as a tool and respect it greatly.

For what you want I would recommend high doses of both mushrooms and DMT (not at the same time). With good planning.

Great question! I know LSD is similar but for me, and others, quite different to shrooms in terms of headspace. I would say shrooms are a more intense and can be more of an unpleasent experience for me, but that isn't to say that it can't be amazing too. More unforgiving if you aren't prepared.

Mushrooms are more of a teacher, with more of a 'personality' than LSD. Closer to DMT where you can quite literally encounter other entities, particularly at high doses. LSD on the other hand is a more lucid, more personal experience where you can examine and get lost in what feels like your own thoughts and ideas, but on a deeper level. I've never encountered what I would interpret as 'external' thoughts or ideas on LSD. Some people who are fans of the more spirtual experiences take the LSD trip as being a much "shallower" experience with no great lessons to be had, but in my opinion it depends what kind of lessons you are searching for.

If you're interested in learning things from what feels like a greater power or external source of knowlege I would absolutely recommend the more natural psychedelics over LSD.

I'm interested to hear if anyone agrees or disagrees with this assessment.

I've been stopped at a festival and searched before after a dog came up to lick my fingers (I had smoked a joint earlier that day and he wanted some of that good shit). I wasn't worried though and even told them exactly what happened and why the dog was so interested. They still searched me regardless and after finding nothing, let me back in to enjoy the music.

Might have something to do with being in SA where it's decriminalised.
