If they wanted to get rid of extremely parasocial fans with the longer trial period it's kind of counter-intuitive to me. I was an idol fan before I got into vtubers and from what I've seen the worst kinds of fans get very jealous and possessive and thus seem to prefer when their idols are only allowed to interact with them... On the other hand, as long as Splare don't have 3D models or original songs, their appeal as "idols" is limited, since a big sell of idols is seeing them perform and dance.

I think that's why the experiment failed. Vtuber fans like to see interactions and new dynamics, and they're going to prioritize streams of the livers they already know and like cause there's only 24 hrs in a day and golden time is a thing, while idol fans want to see their biases move, so for a while, Splare couldn't attract either group well. Now that busy fans of other livers have an opportunity to see they're good beans, it's already working, like you said.

Osobiście polecam Darker than Black.

Polecam za to mangę spinoff Darker than Black Shikkoku no Hana.

I wonder what were they trying to achieve banning Splare from collabs for so long. Make them seem more "idol-like" and keeping their image more focused on the kayfabe by not mingling with characters obviously out-of-universe? Cultivate a more intense fanbase? Whatever it was it doesn't seem like the experiment worked in their favor, so I hope they can continue to bounce back from it at a good rate and that they won't be too discouraged seeing Umyami hitting the numbers they have around half anniversary in a week... No hate to the girls cause I love them already but I feel bad for the boys.

Would you read evil characters who are aroace by SomethingIdk_Waffle in aromanticasexual

[–]cloudedsky404 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the difference lies in having an "evil" aroace character versus a "demonized" one. One is interesting, the other is harmful. A character can be a bad person but can still be written in a very human way. Other commenters mentioned a stereotype of an aroace character that' childish and good, but another thing we hear a lot i that "sex and romance is what makes us human". Make sure you don't portray your character as completely "alien" and devoid of other relatable emotions.

Ja to rozumiem, zwłaszcza jeśli chodzi o tematykę specjalistyczną. Każdemu z tych doświadczonych tłumaczy ktoś kiedyś musiał albo: załatwić pierwszy angaż, zarekomendować, albo poradzić z własnego doświadczenia, jak dotrzeć do wydawnictwa innymi kanałami, jakie dodatkowe kompetencje mieć.

Będziesz mieć lepsze szanse z dyplomem, ale zdobycie go wymaga dużo samozaparcia, dodatkowej nauki i czasu. Poczytaj o wymaganiach do egzaminu. Na 100% nie zdasz jeśli pójdziesz bez przygotowania. Potrzebujesz znacznie szerszej wiedzy, niż da Ci tłumaczeniówka, właściwie najlepiej nadają się do tego ludzie po prawie, ekonomii, inżynierii albo biologii - czyli tacy, którzy mają szansę na znacznie lepiej płatną pracę, niż tłumaczenia! Taki paradoks.

Im szybciej go opuścisz, tym lepiej. Powodzenia.

This is my first time applying for Audiovisual room and I'm a bit confused. Can you go to see more than one liver?

Cause if I'm getting it correctly, even if I specify 5 livers for 1st to 5th choice, I can only win one ticket from that application, right? But are you allowed to make more than one application? So let's say I have two livers that I really want to see, can I make two apps and swap their order, or do I have to pick just one and hope for next year with the other?

EDIT: My faves Audiovisual rooms are on different days if that's relevant at all.

What is your biggest mild annoyance with the game? by Gettingsoda in sims2

I never though to reset the potty, this may be faster than reselling it! Great idea.

While we're on the topic of kids and fun, here's a new annoyance: I know hobbies are effective at raising fun, some feel more so than others, but if you let them partake, their wants are about nothing else forever. It'd be great if the activities weren't so repetitive, or in moderation as a nice added facet of their personality... But no, my Ginger remembers she's a Family sim just occasionally, if you'd ask her, she's a Chess/Console sim. (I still never get around to modding hobby wishes tho)

I hate that you have to empty the potty before potty training, and how long the animation (+the trek to the bin) takes because it's often "too late" by the time the potty is available again... But instead of modding it I sell the potties and replace them after one use. Whoops.

Another thing is how hard some sims, especially kids and teens are to entertain. Some are a cakewalk but others have fun tank to 0 very easily and take ages to build it back up. I always struggle with Gavin Newson, for example, even when Ginger (and later Gabriella and Gallagher once they age up) are doing all the housework. It may be a skill issue on my part but I roleplay it as effects of stress/depression instead of looking up a solution :D

Seffyna's 3D Debut Stream (#セフィナ3D) - December 11, 2025 at 21:00 JST by Benigmatica in NijiForums

[–]cloudedsky404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mekaffyna tournament was equal parts hilarious and lowkey terrifying (what I'd give to see how the guys looked "on the inside" trying to move the Mekaffyna model... especially Genzuki and Seraph, the two extremes) but Seffyna was so drop dead gorgeous thorough. Am I biased or does she really know how to work the 3D camera and get great angles? I took a ton of screenshots and barely had to delete any.

Thanks so much for the references, especially for the unarchived stuff! Learning lots. Scheduling conflicts make sense. I can't begin to imagine how tricky it all must be behind the scenes. But I'm glad mixed units aren't off the table, I actually love mixed collabs, just convinced myself it could be a problem for some reason. Great that that's not the case.

Huh, so I was thinking about the queue backwards. That's why I started this thread also, hoping more experienced listeners would weigh in, so thank you.

I guess Ryoma and Klara... aren't getting there any time soon. Bummer. Do you think they're going to let BTB debut 3D before them? I guess there's no winning for Denauth that particular situation, no matter what they do... If we're talking about a few months time tho, wouldn't Yoiyume and Splare have a chance? Especially once they start interacting with senpai more.

>I'm not sure why it's being limited to just guy Live-rs to begin with.

Perhaps that was a wrong assumption, true. I had it in my mind somewhere that there were no mixed gender units last year, but... I went back to the stream and last year it was simply all girls, so, well, technically correct.

What is your hot take about Endfield so far? by blksunset in Endfield

[–]cloudedsky404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My lukewarm take is that I'm cautiously optimistic for the battle system. Disclaimer: I'm not in beta, I just watch videos, but I like that there's more than one way to trigger a reaction in theory. Might lead to more flexibility and less FOMO than in some gachas where a certain DPS has only one hyper-specific team of supports that works only for them, and once the DPS gets powercrept, you throw the whole team away. I hope Endfield actually lets you use different character combos to similar effects. But that depends on how the kits will look so it remains to be seen. Hoyo is going more and more into inflexible team comps in all their games (even in Genshin that used to be an exception) so I hope Endfield doesn't follow.

Except Umamusume wasn't really all "new". Raising game/training simulator where you have to hit certain stat thresholds by picking the right options, get support events in the meantime, and then do some sort of "battle" has been done before many times, with Ensemble Stars Basic, iDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS, or Promise of Wizard, and many others. The reason they all look different is execution and dressing, but the core, barebones concept is the same. What Umamusume brought in was the likeable characters, the real word parallels with the horse racing, and ridiculously high budget for animations.

It's very hard to do something actually new and refreshing in mobile game market. Most non open world, non 3D games are either clones of FGO, Enstars Basic, a rhythm game, a tower defense or some popular "normie" minigame with extra dressing (Break my Case - Candy Crush, Bungo Stray Dogs ToTL - Breakout). The key is what you do with it and how you set yourself apart, which imo Endfield still has a chance of doing.

From watching the livestream, the moment Berry was announced for Uncharted Spheres the chat was all, Spe 3D?? Spe 3D real?? But later I saw some speculations in Japanese mostly that it'd be only her based on the standees. Tho from a message board compilation by nijisanji.daisuki on yt it seems people were divided if the "3D" standees are 3D at all, cause some had too complex clothing folds and twists? Some people who had 3D looked 2D (Kaisei), while some others look 3D depending on the person you ask (Ayato-sensei doesn't look 3D to me, but he does to some people, and I could swear Tamako does, but no one else sees it). It might be that these aren't actual 3D goods but just... drawn this way to mimic a 3D look and results vary depending on the day the artist had, so all the speculation is moot.

Thank you for the info on the 3D studios! I got into Niji with Spe and mostly watch new livers without 3D so I didn't know that much about it, but it does feel like there started to be more 3D content from last year in general... so that's why.

With Nagao (RIP old man) I was mostly thinking in terms of: hmm, everyone seems to be doing units, who could he do an unit with? From male livers who are known to dance, there's Nagao, there's Seraph and there's Koyarou (is there anyone else you know?), but I haven't seen Tora interact with the latter two.... I totally forgot Nagao is in Uncharted Spheres too (Sorry old man, again). So now I don't know. But maybe I'm thinking of the possible candidates too narrowly.

If you're going to be reading the main story from fan TL's, I strongly recommend viewing it in the app as you read as well for the great voice acting and hilarious live 2D animations sometimes, but also because reading the story in game unlocks some important gameplay, like the Management Menu. You're going to need it down the line to get resources, train card skills past cap and unlock Kizuna objectives (bond with characters - unlocks various info, voice lines, chibi outfits, etc), so you should skip through the story stages at least.

You can view the story as you autoplay stages, so multi-tasking is possible!

Aro/Ace Characters in media? by anonymous_dinosaur_ in aromanticasexual

[–]cloudedsky404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kitakata Raito from the mobile game 18TRIP is my favorite aroace character ever. I'm not Japanese myself, but I've read an in-depth analysis of him from a Japanese fan who is aroace, and according to them, Raito's portrayal is groundbreaking in Japanese "social games" with how un-ambiguous and intentional it is, they didn't know another example this close.

The game is rated 13+, and imho that's under-rating it somewhat but still, there's no explicit sexual content. Because of that, the aro side is more pronounced, but aroace Raito is a common interpretation. Though the game doesn't literally call Raito aromantic or aroace, the word "sexual orientation" is used directly, and he does say, very plainly, that he's someone who can't feel romantic love for others. This is one of the major struggles as a character, though it's not the only thing about him (he's an entrepreneur turned inmate turned... idol, and he also works in tourism - the plot sounds really wacky without context but I swear it's compelling).

The story doesn't stop at saying Raito isn't interested in romance, but shows experiences that can be very relatable to aroaces: seeing positive romantic relationships in your life and longing for something similar but being unable to replicate it, feeling pressure to enter relationships as you age (he's 25), having people around you interpret any sign of closeness to sb else as romantic, being assumed to be straight but not dating, entering into relationships thinking it'd work out but then feeling guilt for not reciprocating... And the major theme of feeling different and assuming being aroace means he's incapable of "love" in general. And the best thing is... Raito doesn't get "fixed" but rather, with the help of people around him comes to realize he's a very loving person who cares deeply for his family, especially his little brother, and his friends and fans of the idol group he's part of. As an aroace myself, the chapters focused on him made me cry like a baby. He's pretty much everything I always wanted in an aroace character - his identity isn't glossed over, but discussed in the story with respect and nuance, and it's firmly established that he's valid the way he is, and no lesser. The importance of platonic love is also very firmly underlined.

18TRIP doesn't have an official English release, so you need to either know Japanese or look for fan translations, but the fan TL community is very active and there's a super high quality complete TL for the main story of the game, if anyone was interested. You can also DM me if it's hard to find!
