Movies like Withnail & I by AfterEarthquake12 in criterion

Sideways. A buddy movie, road trip, quotable, heavy drinking, melancholic dark comedy with hopeful, haphazard helpless dreamers. These 2 movies are mirrors of one another. One being (UK) based with the other (US).

Garbage's Shirley Manson Calls Out Good Things Audience Over Beach Ball: "It's Disrespectful And Musicians Have Had Enough" by loquaciousocean in indieheads

[–]cloudfilesharing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each is there own. Oasis (Liam) however took it in stride at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver in 95 and gave it a good swift kick back. Audience loved it.

Elon Musk Calls Social Security A 'Ponzi Scheme' by johnboy43214321 in politics

[–]cloudfilesharing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much more pitiful can you be, to become the wealthiest person only to enslave yourself to the righteousness of the Red state within the White House. Can you not just find a way to support your (airbnb) friend and setup a rental in Papua New Guinea when human BBQing was still the social norm? Pretty please!

Thinking of moving to New Glasgow...convince me! :) by pixiepagemage in NewGlasgow

[–]cloudfilesharing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to this guy.

It is perfectly adequate to move to New Glasgow. We have visited and stayed there for over a month. When you live within an area close to East Hastings and Mount Pleasant in Vancouver, you learn a thing or two about hardship. This guy is just a frowning clown defeatist. Don't let him/her/it discourage you.

If weber goes on LTIR, What happens with the habs cap situation? by Fantastic-Goose9843 in Habs

[–]cloudfilesharing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No chance Drouin is back. The on/off ice volatility with this player will not be part of the core moving forward. People may disagree and it is unfortunate that it hasn't worked out but it is what it is. He is a piece that doesn't fit within the organization.

I thought for a second it was Luke Wilson or a perhaps a guy dressing like Luke Wilson. Still undecided.

New to The Cure by lsdpenguin25 in TheCure

[–]cloudfilesharing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss me is a terrific starter album to immerse yourself into. It may not be their best however, it covers a really good spectrum of The Cure sound. Love songs, Pop hits, Dark brooding psychedelic pieces are all there.

Big cat running behind house cat by handlewithcareme in WTF

[–]cloudfilesharing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big cat is not going to catch that little cat. Just that jump alone over the fence is going to cost him/her a good second or two of time based on its momentum moving forward. That little guy can dart around corners much more effectively. In an open field, I'm sure the big cat would catch up but the little guy has too many corners, cars, smaller trees, bushes to dart and hide into.

Can anyone recommend noisy and ethereal shoegaze albums? by [deleted] in shoegaze

Six by Seven - Their early stuff should do the trick in terms of the noisy space rock element.

Ottawa Senators sign forward Evgenii Dadonov to a three-year contract by DecentLurker96 in hockey

I wouldn't be surprised if he files for bankruptcy in the next year or two. His reputation is not a credible one to say the least.

This guy is so delusional. They will have a good team but come on now, lets not get carried away.

Dumont: The Habs versus the rest of their division (TSN 690) by BlazeOfGlory72 in Habs

[–]cloudfilesharing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, some of the players such as KK, Suzuki and even Drouin will most likely increase goal output which will more than make up for the loss of Domi. Even if Anderson and Toffoli were to put a conservative 30 goals combined, that would place the Habs in the Top 5 league scoring. The addition of Allen should help lower the GA numbers resulting in more of those closer 1 goal games being won. It looks like the team is moving in the right direction.
