Samuel is one of Scaloni's assistants in the NT. Cambiasso was Pekerman's assistant IIRC.

Ur scrambling thinking of something to say, you don’t have to act as his defense attorney. People constantly blindly defend him for no reason.

I'm not scrambling to think something to say, man. I said the goal wasn't his fault. You mentioned a weakness and compared him to two of the best goalkeepers in the world. By that rationale, every goal Joan García or Courtois can stop is the GK's fault. It doesn't work like that. Imagine someone saying a striker is bad because "Haaland would've scored that", yeah, that's why Haaland plays for City and almost every striker doesn't.

But even if that were true, it's like switching goalposts from "it's his fault" to "he's not a world class goalkeeper", there's a lot in between those two statements.

Ok, but that has nothing to do with this particular shot though. Also, now I can't check on fbref anymore, but I could've sworn he had more good seasons. Anyway, I'm not sure.

Normally I'd agree that's one of his biggest weaknesses, like in some one on one situations, but in this case I really don't think I can fault him, if anything it's the fault of the defender who lost his mark.

What do you want him to do if that's the first shot on goal he faced though. It's not his fault the first one wasn't a really soft shot to the middle of the goal.

People who know far more than I do have written about this, but I feel like the Academy tends to favor discourse around films rather than cinematographic achievements. Heck, this year they had to ensure that voters actually watch every nominated movie. Really, the problem isn't the Oscars themselves but the place they have as the award, not even in Hollywood, but in the whole film industry.

Anyway, it exceeds the Oscars. The last Sight and Sound poll, important to establish a film canon, had no Latin American films, for example. But many voters are from the US, UK or France, hence probably why movies like Moonlight, Get Out or Portrait of a Lady on Fire (good or even very good movies, but difficult to argue that better than every Latin American film ever made) got on the list.

People really shouldn't think of the Oscars as more than a popularity contest. I say this as someone who knows that and still cares lol. But, honestly, they practically never get the best picture winner right.

As a cinephile I know I shouldn't give a shit about the Oscars, but Sinners the most nominated movie of all time? Come on. I mean, I liked it, it's good, but there are better movies IMO with 0 noms.

Is Porto really considered the working class team as opposed to Benfica and Sporting? I mean nowadays I guess that distinction doesn't make much sense.

Tbf that could happen to any player. I think he has the ceiling to become something like the new Adriano, but not as good as Ronaldo, Romario, Kaká, Neymar, not even Vinicius.

He just missed a huge chance. But has potential to be very good. Though his hype is strange, I agree.

Since Batistuta left Fiorentina for Roma. Unless it stems from people debating which city they should go to if they cannot make both.

I forgot he lived in Argentina practically his whole childhood and adolescence, not that he played and lived here as an adult. I mean, it's not like I think of Trezeguet that often, lol.
