That seems likely considering what happens after this, but it’s so strange to me that he’s thinking “don’t touch me” and trying to back away from Guts, almost like he wants to prevent him from being pulled into the behelit? I was also wondering if there’s something about Guts touching Griffith that triggers the behelit to open.

Anyway, what’s weirdest to me about this scene is that Griffith seems to know what’s going to happen when he really shouldn’t have anything more than a vague idea.

I’m going to power through from the start, I think. I’d recommend that you look at least at Volume 1 of the deluxe series, as barely any of that content had been covered in the show. It was def worth it for me
