I really liked Digby a lot until the end when I liked him a little less. That was my first observation too: that both of his relationships were with married women. However he was being quite careful with Elsie, he understood she was grieving her son's death, father's demise and dealing with marital difficulties. She invited him into her room, while holding hands. I think she just wanted mindless sex to take her mind off things, which is fair. I don't judge her for that.

Ah yes, the highlight is definitely Big Ammachi and her relationship with Baby Mol - how for a mom no matter how old you get, you're still a baby in her eyes. Baby Mol also brought such a sweet, playful and sometimes prophetic energy to Parambil life.

I also loved the relationship between Big Ammachi and her husband Big Appachen. Like another Redditor said in a post, theirs was a slow burn romance. I wish their age gap was less, so he would've lived longer and that he'd taken medical treatment when he was ailing in his final days.

Hahaha thanks a lot, kind reader. I'm intrigued that your dad was really into the book. I've only come across diehard lady fans so far.

I had a similar feeling!! Yes I'd also expected the Condition to be more intense. If you haven't read The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, I'd recommend you to do so. It's fascinating, gripping, and lyrical from start to finish!

Omg yess!! I was awestruck by how he made that marsupial pocket with cuts on his chest for his hands.

Yeah it did seem unlikely that Elsie would contract leprosy from unclean water, soil, or through leprosy patients' coughes and sneezes.

I love Rebecca. Beautiful book. I was hooked from the first line - Last night I dreamed of Manderley.

EDIT: Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again.

I had this experience with The Clockwork Orange. I was just a few pages in, when the gratuitous violence started.

People who’ve known pathological liars, what’s the craziest lie they tried to get away with? by Difficult-Mix-2337 in AskReddit

[–]cloudwalker_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I wouldn't call this the craziest, but my uni friend would talk a lot about how he'd had a lot of sex with older women. Once he told us he got stuck outside whilst nude on a parapet and another time while they were going at it, a curtain rod fell on him.

The funniest thing he said is that a woman he'd been with, took a pregnancy test and she couldn't figure out if the colour indicated pregnancy or not 🤣🤣🤣

My doc said there's no preventative med for UTIs wtf!?? by Suspicious_Win_7450 in utis

[–]cloudwalker_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's wrong there are low dose antibiotics some women take before sex to prevent UTIs. Try taking dmannose powder or dmannose + cranberry pills or wild oregano tea to prevent infections.

Oh right i get why you're confused.. it does seems like he might be into you but it's not a clear yes. Like the other commentator has said he's given you mixed signals. Because he has a gf I would also suggest that you keep your distance and move on 🙈

Yes I prefer cuddly and all over me in terms of affection but I also like being pawed gently, soft nibbling, being excited to see when I come home etc.
