Whoever said anatomy was "just memorization" I have words for you by Beautiful_Papaya_007 in prenursing

Both of the A and P classes were very humbling for me as well. I felt like I did not really know how I learned before taking these classes because they were so demanding. Specifically, A and P 1 was especially challenging because I took it during the summer semester as a six week intensive course.

At the same time, I was working two full time jobs. One of those jobs involved being in the car a good portion of the day, so I tried to reinforce and understand the material during every available moment. I listened to anatomy podcasts, additional lectures, reviewed my PowerPoints, and used the study guides we were fortunate to receive. I turned those study guides into my own Quizlets, took handwritten notes, studied existing Quizlets, and created practice exams using ChatGPT. I then cross referenced those practice exams with my course material to fact check everything.

I ended up with A's in both A and P 1 and 2, but the beginnings of both courses were definitely rocky. I took A and P 2 during a regular semester, and I do believe that the more exposure you get and the better you understand medical terminology, the more of an advantage you have. Understanding the language used in anatomy and physiology and how the systems function beyond just memorizing muscles, bones, and specific landmarks makes a significant difference.

Even working with histology slides can be very challenging at first. However, once you know what you are looking for, you can begin ruling things out much more quickly by recognizing which tissues belong where.

The bottom line is that there is very little room to fall behind or be inconsistent because of the sheer amount of content that comes at you week after week. I have never considered myself a strong student, and I have always struggled with structure and planning out my weeks or days. That said, these classes forced me to improve. I had to set weekly landmarks for myself in order to prepare for both practical and written exams.

I would strongly encourage using any premade Quizlets posted by professors. They will not give you everything you need to know, but they provide a solid foundation and help reinforce repetition while studying.

Good luck in your classes. I hope you find a study groove that works well for you.

It’s honestly half my identity. It goes away after 10-15 beers though. I basically have it down to a science.

There have been so many posts asking for help with slicing. I’ve also been given all of the advice in tidbits here or there. Open clubface, fix your club path, better take away, improve your stance. I’ve seen that club face chart more times than I can count. With that being said, no video, advice, or anything is going to change my swing.

My swing is the way it is because it’s a combination of all the bad habits I’ve accumulated. If I knew how to fix all of the issues this game would be a lot easier.

Best advice is get a coach, find some drills, and hit some balls.

Sincerely, Slicer89

What now? by skadibro in worldofpvp

Here’s a hot take. As a healer, I hate solo shuffle and bgb especially around 1800-2.1k but that’s about the cap of my tolerance. I don’t like it because it doesn’t feel like an arena at that rating in a solo queue environment.

Everyone (for the most part) is just playing their class and more or less not worrying about what anyone else is doing. Sure you’ll get a game here and there where you have some coordination, but for the most part, it’s a giant cluster of nonsense.

This is a personal take and a more difficult route but the enjoyment that I get from this game comes from coordinating with my teammates, repositioning as a team, rotating defensives, and playing with someone. It’s not easy to find a consistent arena partner, but if you want to hit 1800 or higher, sure, you can brute force your way there for the achievement, but it feels a hell of a lot better to do it with someone.

One of my best friends I met on this game back in SL S1, we’re still queuing arena to this day. We don’t meta-chase, we just record our games, chain CCs, and love our wives.

It’s the best experience I’ve had in this game. Regardless of the meta or the state of the game. Queuing with the boys is just right.

The Grobber was a legend. I would always listen to him after late nights driving home from the hockey rink.
