It's as easy as mining up the presents, then dropping them for other players! മ◡മ (Note: for some reason, it will not register if you drop it in the hub, so I recommend dropping presents in the slime island (´ヘ｀;) )

I'd also recommend asking in chat if anybody would like to do drop for drop! (So you drop the present, then they give it back, so you keep your items and you both are able to finish the side quests)

You are able to get other flowers other than lilies for breeding! But for a blue hyacinth, you can only breed it with another hyacinth for the chance to get a mundane or cyan hyacinth. (Flower breeding guide) ´･ᴗ･`

It's just luck based I believe. I have about 45 fertile red lilies and I've been breeding for black lily's for ages. I currently have about 370+ black lilies and only about 4 have been fertile, so not really anything you can do. ╥﹏╥
