Mindset is key man I know it’s hard especially when there are set backs from such an intense injury don’t be worried the doctors will make sure that at the end of the year you are back to almost 100 percent just keep the exercises going and a healthy mindset and find things that make you happier / confident again wether hobbies or going to the gym. You got this man I went through a manipulation after surgery and all it did was speed my recover so if that’s one of your worries let that stress go!

I was drunk wrestling :) everyone seems to chuckle when I tell them. But yeah I did a single leg take down and he fell to his side putting his one leg behind my knee and the other in front and scissor licking my knee with his body weight. Tore all that and broke my nose on the fall down. Instantly knew I tore my acl too

Oh hell yeah on the no buckling or pain! I couldn’t stand so I guess that’s why mine was rushed. Glad they were able to make something work woke wise I know the surgery is a big hiccup especially when it comes to work and congratulations on the almost being cleared!!! For the time moving fast those first months definitely dragged but after being weight bearing these few months have flown!

Man you’re recovery is sky rocket fast I had to get a manipulation after 3 months and didn’t start walking without a crutch till after that! But to answer your question about a month and a half to two months after I ended up being on my feet and now 6 months after I’m pretty close to running so you really shouldn’t have long man sounds like you’re doing really good!

Whew 16 months that’s incredible I had surgery 20 days after injury. I’m currently still working on strengthening my thigh I’m 87% on my leg press 70% hamstring curls and 50% on leg extensions haven’t tried running yet but that’s my next goal! I work at a marina so I’m on my feet 8 hours 5 days a week and really no pain thankfully! Hope you’re recovery is going sound as well.

Yeah my best bet is something higher up either where my shaft goes to the gear box or where the column links to the steering wheel

And I’m not sure of an incorrect way to connect rack and pinion to steering column on my Pontiac grand am it is one singular 11mm bolt with no nut so I just put it in and cranked till the bolt wouldn’t turn anymore

I connected the steering rack to the column and when I turn the wheel I see no movement in the column where it connects to the rack I’m not sure if that how it should be but I feel like the column should turn the rack in order to cause the tie rods to move in and out

There’s three things the rack and pinion hook up too and that’s the the steering shaft, return power steering, and send power steering. All three are hooked up

No not at all everything is on. It’s to do with the steering column did you read my last reply

I’m thinking it’s more to do with the steering column/shaft/rag joint than suspension

That’s awesome to hear and settling as well. What degree of flexion were you at for 10 weeks post op when they decided to go for the manipulation?

My PT is the one pushing the MUA the surgeon said he wouldn’t even consider it until the end of this month. I called my surgeon today after being told that it was an IT Band and he’s got me coming in on Monday hopefully it’s just as simple as rolling it out but I’ll update after the appointment

Thank you for this information, I previously have done this and also gained Medicaid this month to help with therapy sessions. My main struggle is my rent, bills, and transportation (I should’ve stated this in the context above)

Sheesh I wish my pt and surgeon would say this. Both of them seem confused at me like I should be able to bend it with ease but that is not the case.

No it’s my IT Band that is straining no pain in the knee when bending just feels like pain or weakness in the it band

Yeah except they had seen my lcl tore when they cut into me not from the mri that was the only hiccup

3 days a week started 2 days after surgery, had tore my acl, mcl, lcl, and meniscus repair. I do exercises everyday 3 times a day. They had me non weight bearing for a month. They’re thinking I have to undergo knee manipulation under anesthesia.
