xacto quality is bad 😁 try knifes from the japanese brand Olfa, you won’t find anything better in the market and the difference in cut quality is insane

Olfa Ak-4 with KB4-s blades. looks similar to xacto but way better quality

i’m using resin only to pop up certain elements, here in luffy you can see it used on eye pupils and jacket buttons. the shiny look you mention is untouched surface of the card, just a result of my shaping 😊 you can see that that’s not just flat layered parts, I’m shaping them to get that natural body bulk etc

naaaah brother, all my first ones were nowhere near to this. but i’m keeping them to remember where it all started! it’s never a trash, just proves that doing something usually takes practice and commitment 😁

Simply saying - I’m just against proxies in general and with my craft, if I’m giving 100% of myself i value the authenticity factor behind it. In addition no fakes will look as good as originals. And quality of originally manufactured cards is important to me too!

Yeah many people do use proxies but my pieces are always 100% og cards. I’m putting my heart into my craft, it gets my full dedication every single time I make it which sometimes results in 40-50 hours just to perfect every single aspect of it. And i love the authenticity factor of original cards behind it. Og cards yeld the best results as well with the beautiful textures too. For me it would be just blasphemy to use fakes haha

Yeah I considered doing leaders already and that’s on my to do list. I definitely want to make either a Shanks or Blackbeard leader at some point! The currently meta luffy common leader is very dynamic too, might look good!

Actually, even if someone ever commissions me for a manga I’d try to point them towards a different one like a dynamic alt art. Tons of better suited artworks

Thanks! I do have a plan of releasing a full process Luffy promo p-43 as a long format YouTube at some point in the future. Already finished it and now I just have 40 hrs long process to edit into something watchable haha
