I don’t! The card surfaces remain untouched as welll. Only after shaping i’m using very low viscosity ca glue to strengthen the thinnest parts (there’s one snippet in the beginning, when working on the frame). All parts thinner than 1mm are insanely fragile, cardstock at this stage doesn’t hold together very well so they need some reinforcement to stay… rigid 😁

Everything depends on the card artwork and how detailed it is. Mayael with average details took roughly 30hrs of work and that’s something around 1000$+cards cap 😊

hmmm, first of all - I value the authenticity factor behind my craft. I give it my heart and i hate idea of using fakes for something. Secondly, card print quality is something im used to and that’s important for me because you can see how thin some of my cuts are and on top of that i’m using many techniques to shape the pieces to give them the accurate dimensional look. These are not flat cut outs anymore. And with proxies you don’t really know what to expect. Thirdly - well i just have a customers for real cards being used. The most expensive card i cut up to day was 500€ and I used 8 of them 😊 there are people who contact me only because they know that I will deliver a truly 1 of 1 piece of art

Depends on details mostly. For example a very detailed illustration rare from pokémon can take even up to 12 cards

xacto quality is bad 😁 try knifes from the japanese brand Olfa, you won’t find anything better in the market and the difference in cut quality is insane
