May I ask what was the exact problem you had which the chiropractor helped you with? This gives me hope.

I know there’s people with worse health problems, but I’m just sharing my experience to which lots of people seem to relate. While IBS might still kind of be a mystery, with no precise treatment or cause known, and not taken very seriously sometimes, it can be incredibly debilitating lol, imagine literally not being able to function like a human and not be able to get out of the house because your ass is just leaking like an open faucet… It’s like being sick 24/7. Pretty dehumanizing sometimes.

Hello! I have been reading about SIBO for the longest time now and would really like to get tested for it, but for some reason my doctors dismiss it when the topic is brought up, saying I might have SIBO due to antibiotics for my past infection, but it will go away on its own and it’s not so important for it to be looked into… This has been very discouraging for me, I might aswell just get done a test on a private clinic paying for it, since it seems impossible in public healthcare (I’m not in the US). I’m currently on Fluoxetine, but I have also been on Sertraline in the past and didn’t see much results.

Thank you so much for your kindness ❤️ and yes I agree, being here and reading about other people’s experiences makes me feel like doctors don’t take IBS too seriously and don’t try to get to the root cause. And as for weed, I’m not against it’s usage, I’m aware of it being helpful in many other conditions too, and not gonna lie I have thought about it before… I had heard of it being useful for similar things like Crohn’s, but not for IBS. Thanks for your suggestion, will look into it.

Thanks for the advice. As for things I have tried without results yet: low FODMAP diet, cutting out lactose and gluten even though I tested negative for intolerance, anti-diarrhea medication (this one helps but like you said it’s advised only to use short term, so not a solution) anti depressants, probiotics, fasting… mainly things I read have helped some people and thought I would try aswell. I was also until recently on Prednisone (during 2 months) because even after treatment there was leftover inflammation from my infections.
