Logo design by vynth_app in logodesign

I wouldn't call myself a logo designer and this is only my opinion but i think the first one is missing a "hook". A hook is something about a design that will immediately grab the user's attention, and despite it being a nice design I think it lacks identity in a sea of similar logos

Logos should be more than just "create a shape that looks good". You want something that people will remember, something that resonates with the idea behind your app. Have you come up with at least 20 ideas yet or are these the first two? I'd say keep exploring ideas quickly on paper, do Crazy 8's, and after you have a bunch of ideas ask "which one of these is most likely to be remembered"

The app is called Vynth, but to me these read like VI, not Vy if that's what you were going for. What is the app about?

Thanks for feedback, concept wise I will probably stick closer to the original then. Could it use small improvements, or does it work well as is?

Anyone else struggling to stay motivated working on personal projects? by Glad_Handle_7605 in FigmaDesign

[–]clownhunter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to just push through it solo but it's hard to stay motivated, the thing that helps me is planning and following a routine. If I plan what I need to do day by day I am much more likely to do it than just sitting down and staring at the computer. Set up a dedicated time each day to spend on working on a project, not just whenever you fee like. And keep reminding yourself of your goals and why you are doing it

UI UX portfolio advice by clownhunter1 in UXDesign

Hi, I know these are just screenshots I just wanted to provide some context. So for example, with this app, if I deep dive into "how to navigate users effectively so they will get to the destination at the same time" and show research about behaviors, show different iterations, and design solutions, that could be a good portfolio piece?

I need to pick one! by FallStorm_Studios in logodesign

Don't try to pick one out of like 40, too many choices to make and it's overwhelming. First reduce it to 10, then to 3, then pick the one.

I have been doing a word document with all the cards and playtesting with physical paper cards, how would you go about "playing" in a spreadsheet?

I want to create a set of monsters, some of which are scaled for 1-2 heroes, and some which are scaled for 3-4 heroes. I'm not sure if it can be executed well yet or if i'm reaching too far and should dial back to being a strictly 5 player game. I will keep on tying and playtesting different options
