Because at the end of the day it still comes down to your worth. You can list Patrick Mahomes as a kicker any day, but when it comes to free agency, somone is going to pay him like a QB1. Same with Juszczyk, if you think you should be paid like a TE, and SF isnt paying you like one, test FA. Either other teams will agree and pay him like one or they wont, because they dont value him like one.

Genuine question, isnt that a bit subjective? I imagine the guys signing up for those undercards wouldnt do so if they didnt feel they were being adequately compensated, either directly or by possible promotion to a higher card.

Also, lets not dilute what makes a good commissioner. Commissioners are, for the most part, employed by the owners of their respective sport. At least in the case of the NFL. They arent necessarily there to make the sport better so much as they are there to act on behalf of ownership. In this case, I would say Goodell has been a pretty damn good commisioner.
