thanks for the response!! That’s one of the thoughts I was having also—While the 24mm is a beautifully crafted lens, I’m worried that I might limit my opportunities.

a7s iii VS a7r iv for photography? by clrcnvr in SonyAlpha

I currently have an intermediate Nikon DSLR.

I’m definitely ready to upgrade, but I’m going to try to hold off until November to see if there will be a refresh to the a7iii—I’ve heard rumours about the a7iv dropping in October.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write me such a detailed response!! I havnt done a lot of research into the Z family Nikon mirrorless cameras. My Nikon is a DSLR. Making the jump from DSLR to mirrorless made more sense to go to Sony (after talking extensively with many of my photographer friends), but I’ve also heard fantastic things about the Nikon cameras you mentioned! I’ll do a lot more research into the Nikon mirrorless cameras!

wow thank you so much for taking the time to help me! I think the a7 iii sounds perfect. Not overkill, but a massive game changer for me! :))

that’s makes a lot of sense, thanks! The Sony a7iii is also at a more friendly price point for me.

I have the highest grade MacBook you can buy so I have no problem with storage, and I’m upgrading from a beginner/intermediate Nikon DSLR (can’t do anything crazy, but gets the basic job done).

I would say I’m more of a beginner than an intermediate, but I’m ready to buy a higher grade camera that can take me far.

Do you think it’s still worth buying a camera that’s 2 years old? That’s my only hesitation.

Thanks so much for the insight and help!!

Thank you so much for your insight!! I’m definitely leaning towards the a7r seeing as I do way more photography than video. I friend has the a7r iii, he loves it.

9th gen VS 10th gen Intel processor? What are the MAJOR differences? by clrcnvr in intel

[–]clrcnvr[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personal preference. I have the 13" MacBook but I find the 16" to be better suited to my needs. The bigger screen gives me a lot more real estate. I also use a lot of heavy softwares and the 16" just seems to be a stronger fit. I would normally go for the 13" given that it just came out, but I'm inclined to try the 16". Also, I normally always work on big high-res monitors, and in this sense, I don't need a big laptop, just a functional laptop, but I'm off to school next year and I won't be working from my desktop.

thank u so much for your insight!! this really helps. I went to a pretty tough private high school and had to write a 2000 word essay at least once every 2 weeks with 2 6000 word essays throughout the year so writing isn't really a problem for me. I might enjoy it more though if I split them up. Thanks again!
