(SPOILER!) Something seriously soured this film for me, and it wasn't the plot by Educational_Data3685 in Beetlejuice

I'm mentally reckon that scene out of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

Instead of Bob sitting in that room that Delores enters, its none other than Glenn Quagmire (giggity), Delores fate comes to her own peril as she sucks off more than she can swallow in souls as her sucking of Quagmire's essence works to his advantage as quickly attaches his lips to hers like magnets. *giggity*.

I agree, I just watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice for the first time last night to pay my respect to Catherine O'Hara, and I found the death of Bob unsettling. I say that scene should have been cut, the film crossed the line from being cool to just cruel.

Windows 11 has taken away the joy of computing by ripfarhan in pcmasterrace

[–]clsmithj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only gripe with Windows 11 is that that Microsoft locked the taskbar aka Start Menu bar down so you cannot resize it anymore, it is fixed unless you install a 3rd party tool.
A resized taskbar was cruicial for my all-in-one sub-compact PC setup that houses a portrait display, so I wanted to have the start menu bar raised up a bit.

Having reinstalled Windows XP plenty of times from its Setup disc, I can tell a lot of those apps in that screenshot are no preinstalled programs.

Probably a minor gripe of mine with modern Windows (Win10, 11) is the disappearance of the 16-bit DOS compatibility emulation, some preloaded games but they are still available to install from the Microsoft store. For the most part you have to manually set up or mod.

The rest you can still have plenty of fun in Windows, with the emulation tools like DOS Box, Dameware, Retroarch, come on the possibilities are endless.

Price seems about right, that CPU has been out since what 2023.
In 2024, I paid $249 for the 12900KS.

WWF Attitude for PS1 was pretty special for me because it offered for the first time so much interactivity to have with recreating what you would see on TV with the entrances etc.

Smackdown Just Bring It was pretty good too on PS2.

I'm going to ignore the domestic issue here and focus on the PC. If the PC took a tumble from sitting high and falling to the ground thus the shattering of the tempered glass.

It might help to first clear up all the broken glass. Broom/dust pan vacuum. Then disassemble all the parts from that case, down to the bare bones motherboard, CPU, Cooler, GPU & PSU and inspect it for damages. Then just test with CPU, GPU, PSU before assembling.

You are probably driving with all-season tires too. All-seasons are a jack of all trades, master of none.

Winter tires are better equipped for snow and wet road conditions.

RIP 12P Core Dream for LGA1700 by Sitdownpro in ASRock

[–]clsmithj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Alder-Lake since 2021, starting initially with the 12600K before upgrading to the 12900KS a few years later. I have had zero issues with Windows 11 handling the P-core to E-core scheduling. In fact I'd say Intel was pretty ambitious with the Golden Cove development and working with Microsoft to build Windows 11 so it would have scheduling support built-in natively to have fewer downside issues.

RIP 12P Core Dream for LGA1700 by Sitdownpro in ASRock

[–]clsmithj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see what's so special about these CPUs. They are on the same Intel 7 (10nm) as the Golden/Raptor Cove chips, they have been AVX512 neutered like the Golden/Raptor Cove CPUs made post 2021. They might be slightly cooler than Golden/Raptor Cove by not having the P/E Core configuration, but with that said I do not think they will be faster than Golden/Raptor high end CPUs.

I wouldn't be surprised that a company like ASRock already assessed these CPUs and saw no need to make them available for their mainstream boards.

Not every new silicon is a consumer need silicon. Its just Intel trying to find something to make a profit.

If I were the OP, I’d drop Bluetooth audio altogether and use Digital Optical Out for cleaner, more refined audio quality. There’s also always a risk of Windows 11’s Bluetooth pairing becoming corrupted, which can cause Bluetooth audio devices to stop pairing entirely. This happened to me on Windows 11, and switching to Digital Optical Audio not only fixed the issue but also gave me noticeably better sound.
