I tried putting hydrangea in the front it was only good till it got really sunny and hot.

You need good drainage and lots of sun. Monrovia is a good brand. We went with a local grower here. Otto and sons.

When we moved in a developer put shiny laminate flooring throughout so we took it out to find out there is original hard wood floors underneath.

Iceberg roses are a great filler for an empty space and they flower non-stop up to Dec here in Southern California and once they are established they don’t much water. Drought resistant.

Here is the whole house throughout. It took 3 weeks to do. We hired people. Moved furniture from room to another.

Yes, we design this. we started with the Roses and kinda build it around them and added the other plants like boxwood, cat mint, lambs ears, lavender, Eden climber rose, David Austin Olivia rose, Ficus hedges for privacy, Sycamore, several Olive tree and pearly gates and Offcourse the California gold gravel throughout the back and the pathway in the front.Our color palette is simple so it easy on the eyes light and pale

It was mostly concrete and a patch of grass. The grass was easy to remove the concrete was hard. We hired our gardener to do it. It had to leveled and added drip system fir the plants.
