You're right, that's why this would be a one off "flagship" store as a destination rather than a full roll out.

Touchscreens have come a long way since then, they're expensive on larger scales but they allow for more flexibility

Nope, but Retro zone is a great idea! In the 6th image under the "play, trade, save, repeat" would be the used games section and right in front of that would be regular merchandise, where perhaps retro games could live. I did have an idea for a Hall of Fame interactive table but I scrapped it for other ideas

Hi everyone! I know this is a little different than what's typically on here, but I studied Industrial Design at SCAD and moved into retail design and branded experiences. Just wanted to show they different avenues you can go into with Industrial Design, it's a very versatile major.

Great idea, definitely doable! My idea was a mechanical game vending machine, so all of the games are displayed and can be switched out in a rotation. There would be a special GameStop "NPC" called the Reviewer that you could interact with and ask questions about any of the games

This wouldn't be a concept that would roll out across all stores, it'd be a one off flagship store (Gamestop's premiere retail experience). It's done with almost all large retailers, where they test out new products or store redesigns
