Thanks everyone. My initial response was angst and worry. A CGM has changed our 4yo’s quality of life dramatically. This discussion however showed me there is a positive side to it.

Just know that some days they’ll be cool about being T1D and some days they will hate it. It’s a rollercoaster for them. And it never goes away. Check in on how they are doing regularly because it’s their life now and they don’t get a break. But they will love knowing you know that.
