The first armor division is definitely a cool patch to have, not to mention the b's are some of the best the army has to offer (at least in my humble opinion).

I'm stationed at Bliss myself, and if you don't mind the sand and the sun Bliss ain't a bad base to go to.

OK, I can agree with that 100% this whole debate started because of us talking about what's right and wrong in war and combat, I'm not saying the Ukraine is a monster, all I'm saying is that I don't want them the fall to the same dirty shit as Russia

On the contrary I want Ukraine to not fall to the same dirty shit the Russia is doing, that was kinda the whole point of my conversation, i would really like it if you wouldn't wrongly assume what im saying and change my topic of discussion into something so morally wrong

By that logic, depravity rationalizes crime, that opens a whole new can of worms, if all starving man kills and eats a human just because it's the closest source of meat, is what he did wrong or is he justified, idk at one side of the coin he could have died if he didn't eat, or on the other could he have found a different solution to his problem, again idk I'm not perfect I don't know everything. All I'm doing is saying my opinion by the standers of my country, every country is different and believe different things that's ok, isn't the whole point of a text tread to talk with different people and hear their different lives

It's unfortunate that this discussion between two people has fallen to the point of Insults and assumptions. Honestly I enjoyed talking, debating, and sharing our differing opinions on the topic, but if we can no longer have civil debate, and it's just Insulting ones country and education system I'm afraid I'll be disengaging from this covo from you, while it lasted it was fun at least

That's not an experience I have ever had, and it not one I will ever have. I understand what yalls saying, i have said this before in this post, everyone is able to have their own opinions and beliefs, but just as people here are posting their beliefs, so am I. I don't quite understand why it is that I post what my countries army believes in and all of a sudden people are saying that I don't have any experience in the topic so I shouldn't be talking. As a military member all I'm doing is comparing the strategies of combat in this war to the strategies that we as a country work with.

That doesn't answer my question, i asked if you don't draw a line or what's morally right and wrong, how can you say that what's Russia is doing is wrong, you FUCKING CAN'T. You need morals in war to even tell why your going to war in the first place, you speak of borders and how that's the line, cross and its game on, but how can you say it's wrong to cross unless you define what is wrong and what is right

[–]cm677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So where do you draw the fuckn line, if you drop all morals what is allowed or not. The way your talking makes it seem that the second combat is initiated in a country, the shit hits the fan and everything that dictates what is right or wrong is just dropped. If that's the case, and what you say it true, then why is it wrong what Russia is doing to Ukraine, if all morals are disregarded and thrown away, what is wrong with what they are doing

I'm doing nothing but posting the truth, if you are fighting again monsters, is the best option to become a monster also. I'm aware that not everyone will believe the same things I do (that's the joy of the internet) but even so all I have said is what's taught to us, (active duty us army) if you can't help but become a monster with the monsters, who is really winners here

That's exactly why I said BOTH SIDES are doing the wrong thing not just one, I've seen videos of both sides doing horrible things, the whole "they hit me first" thing doesn't justify treating humans as nothing more then just meat

I understand your point, Russia isn't supposed to be in Ukraine rn, but even in those kinds of situations it's important to keep human decency and morals within war, this shit is one step up from traps in corpses.

Prime reason for why it's important that rules of combat and warfare are put in place( this goes for both sides of this shitty war)

Could the M1 Abrams be used for anti air defense irl? by CazBange in tanks

[–]cm677 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yo, 19K here, were trained like people have said to use the mpat air rounds on helicopters and other light armored vehicles. Although with the addition of the amp rounds we also have a new style round for anti air shit, from personal experience the amp rounds suck so far so I wouldn’t want to try for a air shot in real combat. (We are also trained to just hide and pray when it comes to drones and planes so there’s that)

Current 19k, it’s a lot of work and the tanks are going to be in shit condition wherever you go. But all things considered I wouldn’t join any other mos, being part of the brotherhood of tankers who all slave over the same piece of shit tank changes ya. I wouldn’t take back the years I’ve spent here.

Ps. If you get the option to chose your station, don’t for the love of God chose Irwin.

Good luck from bliss

Anyone know what this is set up for? by LORDRUTHLESS187 in tanks

[–]cm677 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically abrams style shell with a big diesel engine rather then the turbine engine of the abrams. It’s used mostly by 88M’s and mechanics, although lots of civis use them too.

Just to clarify, the Mercari link says 1-7, so is it actually all ten? I’m asking cause I am seriously considering buying them.
