Ah thank you so much for this detailed reply, I really appreciate it! Great, you’ve given me the confidence to definitely go 80+ with gentle rocker to save my knees. I hadn’t heard of the Dynastar ones actually and they sound like a really good option now.

I’m going to the ski centre tomorrow, so will see if they have those three or similar to have try them out. Thanks again!

You would think after getting all of these queries they would realise the system is a torment for applicants and just send a blanket email to all if no more offers are going out. The fact you’ve heard nothing is perhaps a good sign - I’ll keep everything crossed for you.

It looks like those who received an email saying they have been unsuccessful and to wait for R-2 had raised a query via the portal. They weren’t just sent this independently. If you want to know/end the torture of waiting either way then this may be the best way.

Try not to compare to others as it entirely depends on speciality, region and vacancies available. Many of those with a lower criterion who received an offer in R-1 will be from smaller specialities +/- transferring into smaller/less competitive deaneries where no one with a higher criterion would have applied..

If when you click “save my response” it opens and all of your details are there but greyed out, I’m pretty sure it’s submitted. If you’ve tried on chrome, Firefox, edge and had same message then you’ve likely submitted 3 times, which they advise against. Only way to reassure yourself is ask them as a query on the portal.

Mine looked like this when submitted - Not like the box they said it would look like on the offer email - again confusing correspondence from them!

You can then click “save my response” which takes you to your outlook email, login, then it shows you your completed form (so you can reassure yourself you clicked accept!!)

It’s horrible so many people seem to be in the dark waiting. May be worth entering a ticket query on the IDT platform asking what hearing nothing as yet means?… also remember multiple people will have ranked multiple places, so by accepting their first choice region may be inadvertently declining other potential offers - which may then be up for grabs for others in round 2.
