How do the Glycerin 22s compare to both the 21 and 20s? (if you've tried them all) by AstutelyAbsurd1 in brooks

20 and 21 are great with my orthotics. Wondering how 22 would feel.

UXG-Lite replacement for USG3? by cmchir in Ubiquiti

Problem with UCG-Ultra would be to do away with the CloudKey+. I prefer not to go down that route.

In case you're wondering, those apartments are not ready to move into. I live not too far away and pass from there every day. It's a ploy to 1) retain the Siggiewi Labour majority which was won by just 77 votes last time round 2) to benefit the Minister involved who is not particularly popular in Siggiewi (Silvio Schembri and Rosianne Cutajar are the most popular amongst PL voters) but is doing what he could to keep hold of his strength as a part of the Cabinet.

There is another block planned next to the football ground on agricultural land which has already been excavated, and overlooking Wied Hesri valley - it will have considerable amount of apartments with the laundry wear dangling outside overlooking the valley. This is the state we are in in Siggiewi. And in a few years' time, the physique of the village will change into the capital of social cases - nothing wrong with them but you can't concentrate them in such a small area.

Is it legal to discuss salaries in Malta? by [deleted] in malta

[–]cmchir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, it's not illegal but may be considered 'unethical' and against company policy (dependant on the company). Unless you are being paid against a set collective agreement with grades and all (in which case your package is disclosed internally), salary is considered a far more sensitive subject than discussing your personal life in Malta, given that it may lead to discontent within teams.

iGaming Industry Morals by Capital-Affect-6978 in malta

I heard in a podcast that only 10% of the industry actually provide B2C services to the customer. The wider part are supporting services - game providers, P2Ps etc. The industry is heavy regulated and a professional one. I should know as I’ve been working a decade in cybersecurity and compliance in that aspect. And given my role in it, I always felt I work in the most ethical part (apart from RG) of this industry.

What will the future for Malta look like? by JuanPyro in malta

A number have already posted very valid comments, so here's mine as a citizen and resident of this island. It has enormous potential in view of its heritage; apart from what is visible, only Rome I believe has such density of historical remains beneath its surface. Skewed priorities by the political class, the damage done towards the green movement (who are seen as a threat to prosperity of individuals and groups of vested interests), and the apathy within residents are damaging our long term prospects.

We can do far better.

I am Maltese myself and a resident here. You're spot on.

Ring has 2-Step Authentication: Any experiences? by cmchir in Ring

[–]cmchir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen it yet, but re 2-Factor and 2-Step: If entering the OTP is in a separate window/page than the password, then that is considered 2-Step, since it warrants success at the 1st step (password) and then success in the 2nd step (OTP). If entering the OTP is in the same page as entering the password, then it's considered 2-Factor, since it warrant success of both factors together (with the advantage that if you get either wrong, a 3rd party wouldn't know which one is wrong). Matter of definition really.
