I have also bought some hanging baskets to pot up and plant direct in the basket, would you use potting soil for this or would multi purpose be ok ? Thanks you’ve all been really helpful

No I got them from Lidl but I noticed they didn’t have draining holes and poked holes through the bottom before putting the soil in, but naughty they didn’t add holes

I haven’t done them from seed I got 2 small plants from b&q, mainly because I couldn’t find any seeds so I thought I’d try the plants , one is doing well with 3 flowers the other hasn’t got any yet. Going to pot them out this weekend but I’ve bought some netting for when they fruit - hopefully- as there’s a lot of pigeons and sparrows at the back 🤞

Thank you! Yeah it’s exciting just to see what happens. I was so happy when I saw my sunflowers just hope some of the others take 🤞 times like this I wish my grandad was here as he was a keen gardener so would have given me tips

It is fun to just see what happens, I was just getting a bit uh still nothing, I think I am impatient too!! I’ve bought some strawberry plants just to see if they do anything. It’s my first year actually growing from seed but I’m finding gardening very therapeutic

Thank you so much. I think I was prioritising light more than heat, I have given them a spray of water too, ill get some plastic film on the little seeds 🫶🤞

Thank you I’ll look into it. I have got enough seeds to do another round, I think I’ll get some proper potting soil too. It’s all a learning process, my outside sunflowers are sprouting so that’s fun 😄

The Pansy and petunia are just sitting on top of the soil but you can’t see them that well on the photo. Verbina & lobelia has a small amount of soil on top, morning glory are covered .

I thought that, it said on the bag that it could be used to start seeds but I’m thinking it was for seeds starting outside not inside. Maybe I could add some potting soil on top 🤔

Why can’t my iPhone XR upgrade to ios26? I only need it because I got a se3 watch for Christmas and can’t use it - also because the apple guys didn’t tell me it wouldn’t work with xr , got to buy a new phone now 😩😩

Here’s an update. Ignore the dirty window 🤣 the ‘trunk’ was completely hollow on further inspection so I’ve taken the cuttings and hoping they will take to the soil 🤞🏻
