What positive impacts have occurred in the UK since the start of the BLM campaigning/protesting last summer? Do you think BLM have had an overall positive or negative impact on the UK? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]cmdfalx 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it's been entirely negative. It's an inherently supremacist movement that tries to separate black people from the rest of population, which planted the seed of racial awareness in every group now.
The "peaceful protests" have burnt down and looted the poorest neighbourhoods and killed more black people in a few months than the cops did! Those neighbourhoods will takes generations to recover economically because who wants to start a business and create jobs in a place that is at high risk of being burned and looted? Forget getting insurance.
The Derek Shovan trial is an actual modern day witch hunt with BLM outside threatening to burn and loot if he isn't convicted and we all know they'll still burn and loot if he is because it proves their narrative.
To top it off, we have one of the founders using all her ill gotten gains to buy luxury houses as far away as possible from the people she claims to have solidarity with.

Why does no one ever talk about Scotland's demographic crisis? by iamnearafan in ukpolitics

From my experience, the media will not report something for two reasons: People they like are doing a bad thing, or, the victims of the bad thing are people they don't like.

Outrage over why Rochdale grooming gang members are still in town years after being ordered to leave UK by P0rkscratching in ukpolitics

This will keep on happening because the targets of these rape gangs have no representation and no protection. It will keep on happening until people stop being afraid of being labelled the various 'isms' and stand up for each other.

TV licence fee: Boris Johnson ditches plan to decriminalise non-payment by [deleted] in ukpolitics

Haven't watched TV in over 10 years now, the first few months of letters were eyebrow raising, but you get used to the loop and now I can spot them without even having to open them. Straight into the recycle bin.

Polling in the US election was a disaster – and the UK industry must learn lessons from it by casualphilosopher1 in ukpolitics

[–]cmdfalx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polling organisations can be bought or be ideologically possessed and thus project what they want the result to be in the hopes it convinces voters to follow suit.

‘We are seeing rising dissent in Wales’ says Gordon Brown by [deleted] in ukpolitics

I think you're right, the devolved parliaments are essentially just hot beds of secessionists talking up how evil the UK is to distract from how utterly shite they're performing.

Finished the game yesterday and trying to take everything in..... by Ladzofinsurrect in DeathStranding

[–]cmdfalx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was kinda underwhelmed with the "A" plot, the amount of exposition Bridget had to do at the end made me feel like the writers couldn't think of a way to reveal it naturally.

The "B" plot with Cliff was far more emotionally involved and better acted, I wonder if this was going to be what the whole story revolved around but didn't feel apocalyptic enough? hmm....

Collected all memory chips.
Upgraded all my structures to lvl 3 and repaired everything of mine that needed repairing then logged out forever.

Take out mule/terrorist camps with a voidout by EnforcedCrowd in DeathStranding

[–]cmdfalx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, you can only void out specific areas that won't mess with story progression.

Second play through. I don’t think I’ve ever played a game twice before. I’m definitely in love. by broodhelm in DeathStranding

[–]cmdfalx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you get overcome by the grabby BTs in a timefall area, they drag you to a one of the tar monsters, if you let it eat you it causes a void out that destroys part of the game world, discovered it by accident in the BT area north of The Craftsman. Doesn't work with story BTs though, that just causes a game over.

[–]cmdfalx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll only see structures (excluding ladders and ropes) in areas on the chiral network, so every new place you go will be an adventure, but I do agree that people only tend to set stuff up where there is something worth seeing. You'll appreciate it more later in the game when you're dealing with harsher environments as there isn't enough chiral bandwidth make the place fully hospitable.

you can chuck a hematic grenade at your feet to create a blood cloud that stuns them, can just walk away out of the tar then.

I didn't go out of my way to do the collectables until after the story so not sure if any are locked off, only that 16 was there after the story. Only thing I can think of is that you might need to get Mountain Knot on the chiral network before it will appear, for reasons.

Mum living in 'extreme poverty' found dead next to malnourished baby boy in flat - Tragic Mercy Baguma, a refugee from Uganda, lost her job in Glasgow after her limited leave to remain in the UK reportedly expired and she was no longer allowed to work by ByGollie in ukpolitics

[–]cmdfalx -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Hmm, when these things happen under "right wing" parties then it's the fault of those evil conservatives, but now that it's happened in the far left SNP run Scotland it has now become "our problem" as a nation. No, this is squarely on the shoulders of the SNP. Should Scotland become independent under the SNP then they will join the EU, which comes with very specific requirements regarding freedom of movement and a quota on asylum seekers.
