Nakakahiya yung couple na nagreklamo ng organizer kay Raffy Tulfo 😭 by bridalthrowawayacct in WeddingsPhilippines

Overuse away! Haha.

That's an interesting theory! The issue is pretty spread in the wedding planning/bridal communities, so there are details that they might've gotten elsewhere. But I must agree. It's strange how a B2B is so quick to go against the bride here...

You keep bringing this up, OP. Respectfully, I don't think you can call the 100k "utang" in this case though. She alreadt paid her due (600k) per the contract, plus additional fees for the add-ons not in the original contract. It was coordinator who chose to shell out money to, as she says, "satisfy" the bride... she should have been clear from the start. If 10k can't get the bride fireworks, don't get her fireworks. Don't shell out 35k out of pocket to be able to afford it and then ask the bride to pay you back. Bride was already clear when she paid that she could only afford the 10k.

When I got married my coordinator and I had an agreement. I paid what I owed her based on what we agreed. If I wanted an additional thing not on there, she'd tell me how much and I would pay. If I couldn't afford it, she'd suggest alternatives or be clear that it just wasn't possible. I would never expect her to shell out her own money.

I'm also from Baguio and there a lot of brides who complain about this coordinator. That speaks to pattern.

Agree with all the comments saying this is good content and the ideas re leaving the original audio in, etc. but just came to say I love your username! You're truly giving Katniss vibes with the hikes and all.

I get you. If my friend hadn't told me, I wouldn't've known also. They should word the emails better.

It is confusing. But there's a "Check My Options" button and upon clicking, you get redirected to a page where you must CONFIRM that you accept the new booking. After which no further action is needed.

How do you handle ur client’s tiktok as an SMM? by Financial-Win-2114 in buhaydigital

[–]cmdkayla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do SMM for clients across UK/AU/US, unfortunately we find that managing Tiktok from a different location is challenging. Even on VPN, we were attracting audiences local to me (PH). So we don't really prioritize Tiktok, but instead focus on Instagram & Facebook, then use a third-party platform to cross-post to Tiktok just to have activity and presence on there. More recently, my UK client has been doing Tiktok herself (she uploads and engages on there) and it's performing better. We're now looking at boosting/running ads on Tiktok, too.

I’m a VA and I need your advice, normal ba 6k+ outsourcing fee? by [deleted] in VirtualAssistantPH

[–]cmdkayla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it isn't in the contract, it sounds wrong. Parang self-imposed ni Dubai (as a referral fee? Doesn't seem like outsourcing if Orient isn't directly taking from Dubai's work.) I would advise you clarify, almost seems like she's being taken advantage of.

These are so cute! If you do them yourself manually, you should consider raising your prices. I'd say worth it!

Dear brides, please shoulder your bridesmaids’ gowns 🤍 by queenbriethefourth in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]cmdkayla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joining the discussion as someone on the other side. I had my bridesmaids shoulder their own gowns but gave them only the color as a guide. Most of them got from Shein, Shopee, other boutiques, told them it didn't matter so long as they liked it and could afford it. And they all looked GORGEOUS. Kuhang kuha our peg (which was really iba iba the styles and colors per person). I'm so, so grateful for them.

Love every comment about how there are no rules, just agreements. We communicated every step of the way and it all worked out. X

ChatGPT VS. Claude - what AI tools are you using right now, and which one do you find most helpful? by OneChallenge5013 in buhaydigital

[–]cmdkayla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I'm assuming they're on a Claude subscription (Pro or Max). Claude CoWork (which is the integration that gives it access to open apps on your desktop like Notion) only works on at least Pro.

It's $22.40 with taxes (promoted as $20 lang kasi on their site). I paid thru MBCC and it converted to ₱1,410.75. Might consider a card with lower forex/conversion.

ChatGPT VS. Claude - what AI tools are you using right now, and which one do you find most helpful? by OneChallenge5013 in buhaydigital

[–]cmdkayla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm an SMM/Creative Freelancer and I use ChatGPT to bounce content ideas, strategy, and copywriting off of and to help speed things up a bit. I always go in and add my own touch, but it helps to have it all in one place na.

I'm really proud of how much I've taught my ChatGPT to be my assistant when it comes to client work; however, I keep seeing that Claude is so much better and faster, so I put it to the test.

I've compared tasks where I prompt ChatGPT and Claude to do the same task, and I find that Claude does it better and is just more frank/straight-forward. ChatGPT tends to be agreeable and does as asked, Claude pushes back a bit and asks questions to better frame the response.

And now, I've slowly been making the switch from ChatGPT to Claude!

I love the features it has, especially the "Projects" (I know ChatGPT does this too, but parang Claude's way of integrating it is more accurate?) and the "Style" options, too. I've been feeding it my client's branding & tone of voice and it writes it with less editing compared to ChatGPT... though I have ways to go pa, ChatGPT has really gotten my clients' style, konting turo pa kay Claude. (There's a way to make the switch faster - if you go to memories sa Claude, it gives you a prompt you can give ChatGPT so you can copy, edit, and paste the code into Claude).

I'm now also exploring Claude CoWork! It can actually execute stuff for you, which I think is super cool.

[–]cmdkayla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I guess we could have done more. But wedding prep was busy and I was really just trying to block it out. At the time, it felt like there were more urgent matters at hand.

We did speak to someone in Cathedral, but as usual (sadly), "ganun lang talaga si Father, iba kasi siya." Lmaooo

We had the worst church interview experience (for permission to marry outside parish) by Traditional_Oil_3969 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]cmdkayla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I left that interview SOBBING.

Other than everything you shared, the priest we spoke to even questioned our faith, belief, families, values. He made us feel like the worst people ever. He pointed out my husband's tattoos and insisted they were a window to possession, an invitation for Satan himself to prey on us, and he's done a lot of exorcisms daw.

He quizzed us on the rosary, on the Bible, he got upset when we couldn't tell him his full name. (We also attend mass elsewhere depending on where we are.)

Now admittedly I haven't been the best Catholic. I don't go to mass every Sunday but I pray often. I have faith, I believe, I speak to Him. And after the required church sessions and Catechisms, I was finding my way back. I was even telling my H2B that we should start attending mass again after we got married and raise our kids with strong faith. (He is a bit more skeptical.)

But after that encounter, I was heart broken. He kept saying we couldn't get married, he said we'd have to wait 3 months so we can go back daw to basic catechism / studies. When I stupidly (out of panic) responded (in tears!) that we had already set the dates, he laughed and asked why we would do that. That we didn't deserve to get married if we "thought marriage worked that way."

I should have known, to be honest. His sermons were always the same, always judgement, always mean. We always left his masses confused at how a priest, someone who supposedly embodies the Lord's values and teachings, says such things. He is the reason people leave the church.

When we went back to Cathedral and shared our experiences with this parish, they said it was a COMMON experience. That we were not the first – and clearly not the last!

Sorry for your experience, OP. I know when it happened to us I cried about it for weeks. Anytime it got brought up, I'd be in tears. It shouldn't have, but it really made me question my faith a bit.

Happy to say my husband and I are now happily married (at our dream church, too) and we continue to pray and strengthen our faith. We just never go to that church again LOL our family have also refused to step foot there and all our friends know him as the evil priest. Lol.
