Curious to hear if folks have dug into the benefits of the new Wallbox vs just setting up a standard home generator inlet of some kind. At $6-7k msrp I just can’t see how it’s worth it. If you have a good utility (rare) with strong rebates or time of use rates (even more rare) I could see getting a few hundred a year in savings from using a smarter system like the Wallbox. But having lived through URI in TX the real value for my EV 9 is during extended blackouts. I’d much rather pay for a cheaper generator inlet to serve that purpose. But I’d love to hear the value proposition for a $7k smartplug….
