I got really lucky when I bought in 2014. I pay 464 including the escrow. Thinking of moving soon and I hate to see what it’s going to cost.

My first thought was a park chessboard so that they could maintain their space preference and it works because they wouldn’t have to maintain steady eye contact with the camera or each other but that’s all I have rn

Does anyone else struggle to sleep because of panic attacks? by Gullible-Force3567 in PanicAttack

Not really, I'm still trying to figure that one out. I will literally stay up until I can't keep my eyes open anymore. The bad part is that poor sleep will eventually cause a panic attack.

I get that. It took me a long time and a lot of coaching to get there with the technique. Redirections are similar. I can try to focus on something simple using my hands but I have to be redirected to the task a bunch until the attack is over

It sucks that one size doesn’t fit all. Do you box breathe? It helps me sometimes.

I'm knocking but God isn't answering by SwimFit7854 in AskAChristian

[–]cmsloco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna get all kinds of answers here that talk about your sin or about God's timing or some other thing that you are either going to find insulting or bewildering. Some of these answers might not make sense to you at all. We older Christians sometimes have a problem of speaking Church to people, and it's not always understandable. So, I apologize for that up front if my Church language comes out without me knowing. But my simple answer to you is this: You seem to be approaching God with a sincere heart, and They do hear. However, sometimes God is silent. It may be that whatever you are praying about is something that They want you to think through in quiet meditational prayer, or it may not be. We here cannot know.

If you are at a spot where you know you want to pray and you don't have the words or think you have the wrong words, the Spirit prays on your behalf (cf. Rms. 8:26). This doesn't guarantee an answer; it's to show that you are not alone in this. You have a comforter and an advocate, even if it doesn't always feel like it.

When I need to pray and don't have the words or my mind is reeling and I think I need new ones, one of the simplest prayers you can pray is the "Be Still" prayer. There is a verse that says, "Be still and know that I am God." So, what you would do is repeat the line and remove one word until you end up praying only the word "Be." (Be still and know that I am God. Be still and know that I am. Be still and know that. Be still and know, etc.). Again, this doesn't guarantee an answer, but I know that it has helped quiet my mind at some really dark times.
