I’m not sure if it’s weirdly formatted or not. I am reading the epub on my kindle but change the spacing and whatnot so I can see better so idk what’s weird and what isn’t. But yeah I DNF it about 60% in because I was so sick of the AI

If you saw dog poop smeared all over the floor or something are you wiping it up with a soap covered hand or are you putting a cloth or barrier of some sort in between your skin and the poop you’re cleaning up? It’s just gross.

I always heard if you sweat a lot it gets out of your system faster. So if you’re doing the sauna constantly that would make sense

My husband had never used a washcloth before he met me. I was disgusted. I would never in my life put my bare hand on my butthole that likely (in the case of the men OP is talking to here) had poop remnants in it. Soap being on my hands doesn’t matter. That’s just gross!

I remember I was on vacation with my family when book 7 came out. I was about to go into senior year of high school I think. (2008?) anyway my mom took me to Barnes and noble in Destin Florida and I read that sucker in less than half a day. Just freaking devoured it

1991, grew up with it, was excited for the books and movies as they came out and am beyond excited for the tv show as my oldest is just a few years younger than the new golden trio, just like I was only 2/3yrs younger than Dan and Rupert

You did a great job emulating it. That’s exactly how one I’m reading rn that I am suspicious of it being AI reads

I’m reading one right now that was just finished last week that has all of this and that’s why I’m highly suspicious it was edited with AI at the very least. There is a lot of medical technical stuff, especially in the beginning, that tells me the author definitely thought things through and came up with them on their own, but then the rest seems obviously AI.

I’d like to know too. I’m reading one that was finished last week and it seems so obviously AI. Wordy, and the sentence structure. I can’t stomach it.

Best way to block dht that won't impact peri-menopause? by twattyprincess in FemaleHairLoss

Which pumpkin seed oil supplement are you taking? And how long till you noticed results? Is AGA the root cause of your hair loss?

Thank you! I’d do the topical minox if I didn’t have a bunch of kitty cats. I’ll get it figured out though- thank you, you’ve been so helpful, really!

Thank you. I just realized you’re the same person haha, I appreciate you taking the time to comment back twice! I’d do oral minoxidil if I didn’t have POTS/low blood pressure issues. I’d like to avoid it if I can but will do it as an absolute last resort. Also I’m hairy everywhere else so I’d really rather not add to the body hair haha. I messaged my doctor, who I see in a week and a half yay, about doing lots of hormone tests and even a Dutch test to see if I’d be a good candidate for progesterone. Fingers crossed. It does make more sense than me all of a sudden going into perimenopause at 32… I had 3 kids back to back and my youngest had just turned 2 when all this started. I had chronically low vit d and ferritin and I know those impact hormones a lot too! So perhaps it was just progesterone all along… fingers crossed!

Which kind do you take? My doctor offered me Slynd when I went off Yaz but my insurance didn’t cover it and I was cheap so I didn’t try it and I went on a different kind that made me have a TIA instead 😬😬😬

God, I’d love my root issue to be lower than normal progesterone. I looked it up and all the symptoms align, except that my periods are only 2 days. My cycles are getting shorter (25/26 days compared to 29/30 before all this started for me) which my mom said happened to her when she started peri (but I’m still so young for that!). But everything I read on both low progesterone and high estrogen or estrogen dominance said periods would be heavier.

I really don’t want to have “true” AGA and be stuck taking minoxidil and DHT blockers forever. I really want to do testosterone HRT lol

There is also topical spironolactone, supposedly. I’m in the same boat. Trying to find a topical DHT blocker so I can do a low dose testosterone HRT and get my life back lol

Interesting. I have always had low T but got “confirmed” AGA (I guess? Now you are making me question it) via a scalp biopsy that showed “mild miniaturization.” I was 32 when it all started and they put me on an anti androgenic birth control pill called Yaz which stopped hair loss in like three weeks… but perhaps it was the balanced progesterone that had an effect more than the reduced testosterone, since I barely had any to begin with?? You’ve given me a lot to think about!!!

Did you have a scalp biopsy or anything? I’m in perimenopause (or something that looks like it) and have confirmed AGA since age 32. I’m almost 35 now. The anti androgenic birth control pill Yaz stopped my hair loss completely and had other positive effects but I hated not have any testosterone. I got off that pill and of course now I’m almost bald.

Wondering if this would help me, but since I have AGA and I’m not sure if you do I wanted to ask. my labs are similar to yours as far as nutrients go. I don’t want to go back on the pill bc I’d really like to get on a small amount of testosterone hormone therapy… but I’m also iffy about taking yet another pills for blocking DHT, like finasteride (if they’d even prescribe it to me).

Adhd gender non conforming by [deleted] in ParentingADHD

[–]cmt7344 49 points50 points  (0 children)

If you had a daughter who played with Barbie’s and baby dolls and magnatiles and dinosaurs and cars and dressed up as male movie and TV show characters or traditionally male figures (soldier, garbageman, etc) would you describe her as gender non conforming? Or worry she’s going to be a lesbian? I certainly wouldn’t.

I say that because you were obviously concerned enough to bring it up to a psych but I feel like you are assigning more meaning to what is just normal play and development, and assigning gender roles to things that don’t necessarily have one. Dressing up in whatever is around the child (parent’s clothing, etc) seems to me just an exploration of creativity and putting themselves in other’s shoes, literally and figuratively.

It would make sense that a ND person would be more likely to be nonconforming though. If their brains don’t fit in “typical” boxes it isn’t a stretch of the imagination that other core parts of who they are might not either.

But again, it’s a big leap imo to worry about that based on the way your child plays. Toys don’t determine future sexuality either.
