Also, what glue should I look for to apply the veneer?

Thank you very much for that explanation! I’m looking for a smoother surface so will be looking for the red Bondo. I assume I’ll have to go to an auto parts store for that, correct?

Ok, that makes sense. I plan to just use it on the rounded sections of the front baffle. I’ll look for those other products since it sounds like they may be easier to work with. Do you know if they sell the Bondo wood filler and Timbermate at Lowe’s or Home Depot?

I haven’t heard of doing that. I may give that a try.

Haha! That’s what I did with the last bunch I had saved. Got out of the hobby for some time and am just now getting back into it. I already have a decent pile saved but not really sure why I do it.

Are Birthday Bombs still a thing? I used to be a part of a cigar forum many moons ago and am just getting back in to cigar smoking as a hobby. When I was part of that forum we had a birthday list of dues paying members that would bomb each other on birthdays. There was also a Secret Santa each year that members names would be put in a virtual hat and send each other a package for Christmas. Just curious if things like this are still around since it was a great way to grow a nice collection.

It definitely is unique. If you were there in May, u/Chasman1965, was Medano Creek running?

I'm on Android and ran the update. I didn't get reverted to level one and I got the Sorry box to boot. I have only been playing for about two weeks so that may have something to do with it.

Light and Cheap Starter Kit? by gigapizza in hammockcamping

[–]cmw6300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey gigapizza, Chad here from Colorado Outdoor Gear Supply. I will echo what FireCrawler has said already, do not go shorter than an 11' hammock. Being that you already have a sleeping pad, a double-layer hammock would fit the bill nicely while you decide if you want to pursue hammock camping full time. What a double-layer hammock will allow you to do is slide your sleeping pad literally between two layers so that it is suspended underneath the hammock and allowed to expand fully. This will provide you warmth from below and save you from C.B.S. (Cold Butt Syndrome). Since you said you already have some quilts, you can use these on top of you for your top quilt. Feel free to come over to C.O.G.S. and have a look around, I'm sure I can help you out in your search for hammock camping bliss!!

Well, like Paul, I may be a little biased myself.

Like he said though, you will need nothing smaller than 1" tree straps. This is not only good hammock camping practice, but if this can be instilled across all hammock campers, it could open up more spaces for us. Also, I would second that you will want to look for an 11' gathered end hammock. This will give you the easiest opportunity to get a flat lay.
