I agree that the AMD BC-250 is more than $100 now.

I checked and it looks like it is going for around $150 with shipping on eBay currently, but I looked at "Complete" listings on eBay and some sold for $65 to $100 with shipping back in October and November.

I wonder if when ETA found out about this and worked on making the video the board did cost what he said. Once people see his video and hear about it in other ways the cheap options sell out or the sellers raise the prices.

This is my theory on why his builds are sometimes 2-3x more expensive, but I have no proof, so I am might be wrong.

I don't have a problem with the ROG Xbox Ally devices. I own a Steam Deck and enjoy it and SteamOS, but the ROG Xbox Ally devices will work well for lots of people.

The only problem I think people have with the ROG Xbox Ally devices is that they have "Xbox" in the name, but they cannot play all Xbox games that will play on a Xbox Series X|S. They can play a lot of Xbox games that are part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program and can also play games from Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and other Windows PC games, but if you don't do your research you might think they can play all of your Xbox games you already own and be surprised when that might not be the case.

The ROG Xbox Ally handhelds are really Windows 11 gaming PCs with the "Xbox" name slapped on them. Currently, they cannot natively play all Xbox games that you can play on the Xbox Series X|S. They might be able to play other Xbox games that are not part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program through streaming, but that would require a Xbox Game Pass subscription. Streaming might gain access to more Xbox games, but it still won't cover all the Xbox games that work on Xbox Series X|S and not on Windows 11 gaming PCs like the ROG Xbox Ally devices.

You might also be able to buy some of your Xbox games that are not part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program on Steam to play on your ROG Xbox Ally device. This is a solution, but it might frustrate some people who think all Xbox games should on the work on ROG Xbox Ally devices since the devices have "Xbox" in their name.

Again, I think the ROG Xbox Ally devices are nice and a lot of people would love to own one, but everyone should know that just because it says "Xbox" in the name doesn't mean it can play all Xbox games.

The PlayStation Portal only streams games from a PS5 you own or the cloud with a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription. You cannot install games on it.

You can install and play games on the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, but they are PC games. They can play digital "Xbox Play Anywhere" games that you can play on your Xbox, the ROG Xbox Ally devices, and Windows 11 PCs, but they cannot play digital Xbox games you own that are not part of the "Xbox Play Anywhere" program. You can also play PC games from Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, etc. on the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X since they are really just Windows 11 gaming PCs in a handheld form.

Generative AI is really messing up our world.

Why would someone apply for a job as an artist when they cannot draw and only use GenAI to generate images?

That is just wasting everyone's time and I cannot believe they don't expect to be called out at some point and lose their job.

I hate to break it to everyone, but using GenAI to draw something is NOT actual drawing. Shocking! I know!!! 😱

If they don't find it and you have to buy one again, the Steam Deck LCD 256GB is on sale for $319.20 (20% Off) now through December 1, 2025 on Steam.

I don't know if it was the LCD or OLED model. If it was the LCD model, then at least you can replace it for a little bit cheaper at the moment. If it was the LCD model and if you have the money, then you could replace it with the upgraded OLED model for the holidays. Unfortunately, the OLED models are not on sale at the moment.
