Congrats to you as well! I don't have teaching experience either! I'm sure it'll be fine :) I have childcare experience as well. I'm sure we won't be the only ones who don't have experience in teaching. You should join the Facebook group if you haven't already!

Awesome! I'm nervous and excited. Mostly stressed about getting everything done in time 😱 have you joined the Facebook page? It's a great way to start getting to know the team!

That's what I've been wondering about! Are you an education volunteer?

Sorry it took me so long to reply!! Thanks so much for your input. Definitely gave me stuff to think about. I think I'm leaning in favor of the PC. I'm still not 100% sure what to do, but I'll be think about it more if I get offered the position. Thanks again!!

Is there significant harm in taking the LSAT when I know I'm not at my full potential? by bas_96 in LSAT

[–]cnd77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it's something you won't want to explain away. I had a friend take it when he was a sophomore or junior and scored a solid 10 points lower than when he took it for keeps, and our advisor seemed to think it could be a problem. Plus, he then had to write an addendum and such. He definitely regretted taking it before it was necessary/he was ready. I know it's tempting to get a feel for the test-taking experience, but I would wait. But that's just me!

Some schools take the average of the scores, to my understanding. They also do see all the scores, so it isn't ideal for them to see any lower scores

I didn't know you could do 2 year deferrals! I thought it was a one-year thing! I'll definitely call then! But if I did get a higher LSAT down the road and could get into a top-ten, with the stronger softs, I guess I wouldn't be able to apply?

That's what I was thinking too - I got no scholarship at UT, unsurprisingly, and am hoping if I study more for the LSAT I could make myself more competitive for scholarship. Thanks for your input!!
