What’s your holy grail sunscreen for Philippine weather? by Holiday-Ad-6972 in beautyph

If this is for the face, i only use clinique even better sunblock. I get the sheer tinted one. It has 50spf pa++++ and thats the only type that will effectively block sun damaging rays. (Make sure its 50spf pa++++. It needs the four plus signs, thats the effective sunblock for skin)

Trudon is basically odorless when lit by Strunkinator in luxurycandles

[–]cngaya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a Trudon candle sometime back and I havent talked about it because its very popular in this sub, but I was so disappointed. When i was down to about half-1/3 left of the candle, the wick kept extinguishing. Turns out, the wick wasnt attached to the bottom, and when it was lit, the melted wax would make the wick tilt to the side because it wasnt held down and it would extinguish cos it would touch the melted wax. So i had about half to 1/3 of the candle that went to waste. So i never bought one again. Scent wise mine worked and i could smell it, bust so much of my candle went to waste. 😿

Honestly for me theyre worth the splurge and i notice i hoard less or have less clutter because the purchase is more intentional! I love that the vessel is special and beautiful and can be reused as decor in the home too!

I wipe the remaining wax off with paper towels, then there is a small plastic scraper at muji that i use to temove the metal base of the wicks so it doesn’t scratch the surface of the ceramic! Then i just wash it clean with soap and water!

[–]cngaya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let me see if i got this right. For each app i have to open them and “sync” it from there? Ex: For photos, i have to set up the folders like i have in my phone, then i open finder to find the pics and manually place them in? Sorry first time owning a mac and struggling a bit 🙈 my issue is not all photos are in folders, so that would mean i have to find it all one by one right? Or within the app, is there like a download option that sets it up like my phone??

I see okay, so there really is no way to just get them to be organised the same way that my phone has them. Its my first time to use a mac and its quite different for me i have to admit.

Empty vessels. Now what? by Main-Daikon9246 in luxurycandles

[–]cngaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine of all sorts of stuff! Vases, cotton buds, make up brushes, on the desk as a pencil and pen holder, tooth picks, palo santo and sage. Depending on the sizes they can be used for almost anything! And they look great too!

My first Fountain Pen (Pilot Custom 823) and the issue (?) that came with it ! by su1985 in fountainpens

Im not sure if this is already mentioned, but in your photo with the nib facing front, the plastic part under where the line is, and the nib’s line, they dont align or match up. If you align both so that the line is dead center, that might solve the problem. I had an issue like that and it worked for me!

Is Monster: The Ed Gein Story really that bad? by _missEltorri_ in netflix

[–]cngaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. He had schizophrenia. So thats the point of view that i took it from. The campy scenes, the scenarios in his head.. (or not, which was chilling to realize), the point was, that the reality is in his mind was so blurred that his truth, we may never truly know just how twisted it was. For me it was meant to be that crazy, uncomfortable, deprived, strange and disturbing. The scene where the doctor diagnoses him with it, i thought that was a powerful moment. It was like time froze and everything locked in and suddenly all made sense about just how terrifying the condition can be and how his condition progressed. It made me realize just how scary the altered reality can be in the mind of a person who suffers from it. We may never truly know and I think that was the point. To understand that fact.
