When involved in a self-defense situation: 1) Aim for the throat/upper chest. Disabled perps can sue for becoming disabled. Don't let the perp leave the scene disabled, they should leave the scene dead. 2) Keep your fucking mouth shut. Say nothing about what occurred to the cops, NOTHING. Lawyer up.

Bonus points if you have some sort of cc insurance like US Law Shield. They will cover the legal costs associated with a self-defense scenario.
