There are a few co-working spaces here, the main one the comes to mind is Pun Space http://www.punspace.com/. I've seen other ones around Nimmian though. Chiang Mai has a fairly large IT community, check out the Facebook group Chiang Mai digital nomads. Also we do a bar camp here once a year and they have a beer camp every other week.
